Our Truly Authentic Embarkation Day Experience | Last Minute Norwegian Escape Cruise | Rm Tour etc.

So I had the brilliant idea to carry our full size luggage onboard with us. Yeah, I know! 🤦🏻‍♀️ We made this mistake before and swore we'd never do it again. But that was 8 years ago, we were rookies and plus... we had arrived to port early. This time would be different, after all... I had a plan! 😉 I figured we'd arrive to port at a later time when the rooms are normally ready - makes sense right! Only when we got on the ship the rooms were not ready (something I didn't consider) and having to navigate the ship at full capacity only added to the exhaustion of embarkation day. This cruise was booked one day prior to sailing so with the pressure of scrambling to get things in order we were certainly not making the most sensible decisions. Jewel Class... Got it! That really helps because I'm really liking Norwegian but I'm much more familiar with Royal Caribbean. We ended up putting down a deposit for a future cruise (they got us!) 😄 So I will definitely be looking into it! Thank you!

Hi! This cruise was booked directly through the NCL website. We had been monitoring availability weeks leading up to the cruise and the price had always remained the same. Unfortunately, there was no discount for booking last minute.

Lugging your luggage around is a pain in the neck. Definitely have the porters take your luggage and then get on the ship.

@@Hangin-with-Mindy Our Checked luggage always go with the porters. Our carry on's and backpacks always stay with us. I normally carry a bunch of camera gear, laptop etc... No way is that leaving my side Lol

Yep! Same here! I expected the rooms to be ready when we boarded and figured we would just be able to drop off our luggage in the stateroom but things didn't quite work out that way. Turns out my brilliant idea wasn't all that brilliant! 😁
