Christina's Take was spot on! I had our child when I was 19, and there were a lot of things that happened during my labor and delivery that I don't remember consenting to directly. And the things that I do remember consenting to were because they used scare tactics and addressing me as a child, not an adult.

I agree with most of the things you say appart from Outer banks ... To me sarah decide to do the risky things because she wanted to and if JB told her and forced her not to come, people would have said that he was controlling her. And the part about stability, I don't think its always the best thing, like why settle for something stable but it gives you nothing else when you can do things much more risky but try to make the world a better place. Like sarah did these thnigs with JB because she thought that it was the best and that her father made choices that killed somebody and he was lying to her. That's what i believe, you should always try to make the world a better place even if it means to go out of a stable place.

Christina - I just went through my labour on April 1st and was hospitalized for a week prior. That week and in the subsequent weeks, have been asked MULTIPLE times by MULTIPLE people about my mental health because they see in my file I have past trauma. Every single one of them, even as i gently shut them down, has dug further into it and has triggered unnecessary panic attacks. Can't you see what happened in my file? Why am i reliving this during my recovery? I understand post-partum is a very serious thing that i would likely suffer from (thankfully i'm not!) but my partner was given the signs and i am (have to be) very on top of my mental health. Let's just let this go. The worst part is, some of them i can tell are just genuinely curious so they push me to talk about it in a roundabout way. Oof. It's been tough but i'm dealing. Love you for always bringing up what's on my mind, ladies! 💚

Great episode! I think about this all the time. Don't agree with Lisa though, I mean Jim and Pam's start is not good but later on are really happy and work on their realtionship while Jim is working in Philly. But they do have some problems, treat Dwight poorly and definetly are overhyped but try to work things out. Dwight and Angela though are very rocky and only at the end are amazing

Enjoyed this episode very much, I love this topic about the type of relationships being portrayed in the film industry. Your thoughts were so interesting and I completely agree with so much of what you guys said! Thanks for the insights XO Still: found it pretty dragging to hear about Lisas rant about Jim & Pam once again. I get it, one can love or hate a couple as they like. But staying blind for the toxicity in the Angela & Dwight relationship while ranting about Jim&Pam is just dumb. Sorry Lis. Not trying to be mean or pick a fight, but that just ain't it. 🤷🏻 You keep saying that these 2 are the "real couple", while THEY DEFINITELY ARE SO NOT!!! Both couples are toxic and unhealthy in their own way, both relationships just ain't it!
@archana.c40582 жыл бұрын
dwight and angela are super cool but ANGELA IS LITERALLY CHEATING ON ANDY THE WHOLE TIME I MEAN that's a lot worse than jim flirting with pam and pam didn't TRULY cheat apart from that one kiss, but yeah their communication sucks for sure. also, dwight is pretty mean too, like he's sexist a lot of times through the period of the show, so i don't know if i can be a dwight and angela stan either. they have better communication than jim and pam that's all.
@CimorelliPodcast2 жыл бұрын
Hahaha okay I love the input! But don’t you think Pam was emotionally cheating with Jim?? To me she really crossed a boundary there and Jim is equally guilty in my eyes. It literally doesn’t make sense why she didn’t just break up with Roy. But yeah it’s tricky!! - Lisa
@BrianaLynn72 жыл бұрын
@@CimorelliPodcast People struggle to break up with their abusers. Roy seemed like an abuser in a way. And Pam was a shy, insecure person who probably didn't think anyone could like her and until that kiss (that she didn't ask for) she probably just thought of Jim as a friend even if she had feelings she pushed them down. But I do agree with the other issues. They weren't perfect, although partly that is why I like them, they were somewhat realistic.
@archana.c40582 жыл бұрын
@@BrianaLynn7 totally agree, i think they were flawed which made them realistic. although i do see why it’s frustrating to watch a couple that fails to communicate on many levels! but that was the intention of the writers after all
@archana.c40582 жыл бұрын
@@CimorelliPodcast i see what you mean with the boundaries, it’s definitely a bit of a grey area. but when compared to angela and dwight, like that’s not grey at all from that standpoint, since she was physically cheating the whole time and that is seriously problematic and toxic! but then again, seems like the writers wanted to portray this approach to love.

I didn’t watch The Office until I was in my mid-20’s, and I didn’t get why everyone loved Jim and Pam together. To each their own, but I don’t covet a relationship like that. I’m sure I have strong attachments to other shows that I grew up with so I still see how Jim and Pam could be the equivalent for others :)

Angela is a narcissist and once you see it you can’t unsee it. Ope
@pxqux2 жыл бұрын
⚠️I'm gonna put a spoiler warning just in case you/people haven't see the finale ⚠️ ********** SHE HIDED THE IDENTITY OF THEIR CHILD NOT ONLY TO HIM, BUT TO HIS EX HUSBAND AND TO THE LITTLE ONE. And the take of Lisa about that was, if I remember correctly, "but she was scared of him not loving her but being with her for the child" WHAT 😂 so, that's not passive agressive at all. And the first mistake of it is, to me, making a competition between the two couples. Like, some people are mad that the core history from the office (the original one too) is about Jim and Pam and not them, I've seen that before. And the characters are not meant to be the same at all, while Jim and Pam bring the sense of "realism", - essential for the "documentary vibe" of the show -, Angela and Dwight are the "exaggerated" ones. And we LOVE them for that but you can't talk about Dwight and Angela's relationship as if it's "serious" and comparing it with the other ones cause it wasn't made that way at all in the first place. And if you wanna talk about it in a realistic way, I don't think the multiple cheating, THE SEX CONTRACT THING 😳, hiding identities, judging everyone and everything are a good start 😂 plus, she says in here "once they finally find each other it's like yeah, they're meant to be" we don't see anything of their marriage, lasting relationship. We see 3+ years of Jim and Pam's.
