Their probably were a few that tried to kill one of them but died I doubt the village has any weaponry either so it'll be dumb AF to just go after monsters with kitchen knives / butcher knives and don't think bullets gonna hurt em much since their probably big af. I would've just moved.

So why didn't everyone just leave long ago? Officially declare the town as unincorporated (so there are no town borders anymore & hence no residents for the mosters to target as living in that area) & everyone just pack what they can in vehicles & go to another town or county (or even another state for those really scared). Why keep living in a town on the edge of those woods?
