After digging an uncountable number of post holes in my time, a good tip is to have a hose or a bucket of water and pour some where you’re sinking the holes and let it soak in. Makes drilling the holes easier by at least a factor of ten.

No. Never got around to it although I’m sure he would’ve liked to have been here for planting. And the winemakers here that I was hoping to work for/work with? They bailed on me. Too busy? Sicilian stuff? Who knows! So we’re flying solo, right now. Not a problem though. It’s how we roll 😆 We’ll figure it out

Italian. Sicilian is really difficult - super regional and mostly oral. We’ve picked up a few things but it’ll be Italian first for sure.

I used our obscenely expensive €600 electric Stihl chainsaw to finally free the root/stump. Didn’t see that? 😉 No scrimping. Just leverage. I saw them for the first time today. Looks like they bought a cool house. We’ll see how they do.

​@@beeseurotravel no no I have two people that are not comrades but old family acquaintance of a goat farmer I worked for in north italia…these two people live in Sicily….( also goat farm people…and my goat cheese research )and already in 2023 big big issues of no water. and they speak of the horrible political situation ie WATER ( it is a long story…gets very technical…) but I know it was super serious problem esp bc goats / animals drought / & water lack…OTHER THAN THOSE 2 Sicily people…I did read & heard from a yoga retreat lady …there are big water issues……so just was curious hw u are affected…or not?….
