Thanks for the comment.... Up to around Kingshouse we were having to de-tick him daily. We lost count at around 35. He's shorthaired though so easy to spot and he was up to date with vaccinations, so we had no issues from it. If anything, he enjoyed the attention

Loved it! Was an amazing experience. My hiking partner got a bit of a bad leg but soldiered through and got it done in 7 days.

Did the WHW in October 2022 and my springer spaniel covered 186 miles running all the way no problem.😊

Yeah our dog loved it, even though the guide book said it wasn't suitable hahaha.. I was so proud of our dog through the whole trip

@@CanvasandPeaks it’s getting better for dog owners, did it first in 2021 no dogs allowed in Green welly then, now they do and no problem getting in cafes etc. If the dogs not allowed in we go elsewhere simple, spend our money where we are welcome

Fantastic mate you will love it. It's a great experience especially with your furry best friend. We did it in May 2023. Everyone along the trail and all the food places made sure our dog was well spoilt with both treats and drinks if needed. Just be mindful of Juras paws on the last stretch to Fort William as it's long and mostly gravel track so could lead to sores etc. our boy was ok though.. please keep me posted and let me know how you get on... How much kit did you take for the pup. Are there places available for dog food?

He carried 3 days worth in his packs, with us carrying one for him. Then we had a parcel sent up and waiting for us on day 4 to restock. There are plenty of shops along the route but our dog has allergies so has to have his specific food

What did you do with your rucksack on day 3?

There are baggage transfer services that you can book on the day or in advance from place to place. We decided to not risk the weight on the Loch Lomond day from what we had heard about it.
