Observing the world around us, we rarely think about how our perception of reality is objective or Vice versa, subjective. And we certainly have no idea to what extent it is determined by our thoughts, our consciousness. How fully are we able to perceive reality as such? Many people believe that what we see, or rather, feel - this is the objective reality. But is this true?
Many people believe that we perceive objective reality, but I must disappoint you, we do not perceive reality objectively. And I'll explain why. Because reality passes through three filters. There are three filters of perception of reality. The first filter. It is clear to all, known, it is our senses, our organs of perception-eyes, ears, skin, tongue, and the organ of smell. That is, we through our sense organs...... These are five organs, and there is a sixth organ - our mind. But, first of all, through these senses, our mind perceives the flow of information that comes into our lives. And this is the first filter. That is, the flow of reality passes through this filter.
Thus, after passing the first filter, some part of the information remains beyond our capabilities, our perception, our senses.
Following filter. The second filter is our certain family, ancestral, social, religious, so to speak, regulations or restrictions. That is, since childhood, when we first begin to perceive this world around us, we first perceive family, generic programs, then social prescriptions, religious prescriptions join them, and this also affects our perception of reality, that is, the flow of energy coming to us becomes even less.
And the third filter, which, through which the flow of reality passes, the third filter is our thoughts, beliefs, ideas about ourselves, about the surrounding reality, about the world around us.
As a result, at the exit, after passing these three filters, we have a very small flow of information, but it is with this information that we create and create our world. It turns out that there is a Reality, and there is a model of this reality, available for our perception. Let us add that our Ancestors called the true Reality "Alnost" ("al" is completeness, something all-encompassing, comprehensive, this meaning is still preserved in some languages, for example, the word "all" in English is written as "all"). What is Re? And Re is just the model. That is, the Ancestors understood that what most of us perceive is only a model.
As you can see, the model may correspond to reality to some extent, but it will not reflect the diversity and richness of reality itself. Well, I'll give you the simplest example ... the globe. The globe is a model of the Earth, a model of the globe. But you and I understand that this is just a model, a model to perceive ... our vast earth as a whole like this, because we cannot see it as a Whole with the help of our senses and we cannot cover it with our attention. Our senses don't allow it.
So, the globe is a model by which we can see our Earth in many times reduced size, and on the map we generally see a flat image. But with the help model-maps, globe we can obtain misconception about our planet. But there was a time when it was believed that the Earth is flat. But this perception of the world did not prevent to create quite detailed maps. However, according to the ancient Vedic knowledge, the flat Earth was actually understood as a flat perception of reality. That is, here, in allegorical form, hidden deep in the worldview of our Ancestors. So, the bottom line is that without a model, it is difficult for us to comprehend reality, the model can be useful to us in many ways.
Therefore, we must understand that the model of the world in which I live, in which every person lives, he needs it and is necessary for his life, but at the same time it is limited to something, some thoughts, emotions, ideas, programs, prescriptions, attitudes, our perceptions of reality itself That is, it is very important to understand. Reality and our perception of the world are very different.
We all remember the parable of the elephant and the blind sages. They had never met an elephant before and tried to get a feel for it. The one who felt the elephant's ear imagined a fan. Touching the trunk, he thought he was holding a snake. The third felt his leg and imagined a tree or column. The fourth mistook the elephant's Tusk for a sharpened spear. The fifth felt the tail and decided that the elephant is like a rope, the sixth leaned against the elephant's side and said that the elephant looks like a barrel (in another version on the wall). The truth for everyone was different, because everyone believed only their feelings. This parable is about the unknowability of truth and how we err based only on our feelings.
