I'm curious why you didn't use an xlx2 with the sensored castle motor or the max 5 1100 kv combo instead of mismatching them. The hobbywing 1100kv would have been easier to fit too.

I prefer the footprint of the Max5 being more square than the XLX 2. I also just happened to have the castle 1100kv behind the counter so boom there it is.

I have the XRT with the Orange body all stock for now 😱 but, I just got some upgrades, I have a 2nd body in red from Traxxas for 109.00, upgraded the servo to the Traxxas 2085x for $95.00, added the X-Maxx Traxxas light kit for $100 and I got the Jetko 1/5 Belted low profile 'Tomahawk tires with red rims' for 105.00 a pair lastly got a 4ch Traxxas remote to control LED lights strips mounted inside the bodies(on ch.3) and a roof mounted multi-color lightbar with 20 colors(on ch.4). Then keep the stock 20/50 gearing🤔 and call it a day. I'm a light in the azz basher (grass, pavement and hardly any jumps) just keeping it fun w/o trashing a rig that’s over $1k with add-ons! 👍 Also looking at a (Trim 2 Fit) Chassis Warp from darksidestudioarts or a stainless-steel chassis bolt on cover like the ones available for the X-Maxx. 🤔 😊

They got a motor mount for that. You have to change the motor mount to make it fit

Btw whered you find an orange wing? I would love to find a green one myself. So any tips on finding one would be appreciated. If i were building your xrt (i have one myself im working on for a speed runner i want a second though for bashing lol) i would get a few m2c upgrades for the xrt like the motor mount, esc plate, possibly the wide kit with the hex adapters so you can run 24mm wheels on it. But most importantly the m2c upgraded center driveshaft it can handle the power of that upgraded system your installing for sure. Happy bashing my friends

Nice wheels bro. Personally id have went red or blue but that's a personal preference lol. For tires id go proline mx43 or 57s but it all depends again on preference. Ive seen duratrax look good on modified rigs like this but at the same time also read they dont hold up well under modified conditions. Its all up to you man no matter what im sure itll tear sht up. Imo, stock motor is plenty enough for performance. So why would you want to buy & fit an oversized motor? This doesn't make sense to me? The idea is definitely ott.

It all depends on the batteries. Higher mah means longer runs but you need to watch motor and esc temps. The ideal mah for about a 30 min or so run time would be 7000 to 8000mah

That motor is too big and heavy for the XRT and the Max 5. I've been running my Max 5 and 1100kv 5687 motor with 25/35 gearing on my X-Maxx for like 3 years with lots of success. I did have to beef up parts of my drivetrain for long term durability on my X-Maxx, like drive cup sleeves, so I'm pretty sure that the XRT would need to to be upgraded too in key areas. The HR motor mount would probably work well with the XRT and that giant motor. You can use the stock 50t spur gear with a 35T 8mm bore pinion for an 1100kv motor. Those tires from Traxxas would probably be destroyed rather quickly with a big power system. My vote would be for the proline masher X tires. Lighter than the other proline tires, but more durable than the Traxxas tires indeed. Thanks for the video 👍

Long time waiting., Cool video . My preferred the Traxxas xrt out of all the Traxxas cars . I had ask one time in a comment that I would like to see the xrt in a 1/6 scale someone said its the same as buying other Traxxas 1/6 scale. But I don't see that .
