When Brad came to Jakarta, Indonesia he slept at my shops floor, eat whatever, no complaints whatsoever.. hangout with all the kids, ride whatever he can find, sharing stories.. never a dull moment when he's around. He left a mark in every kid/riders that he met in a different way than other riders can ever be. He's the true people's champ... Keep killin' it Bradley Allan Simms, proud to call you my friend..

Makes me incredibly happy to hear this, Brad was one of the first pro riders I ever met. 49 year old police officer and mountain biker here. Met Brad as he and several others were filming near the Austin Capitol. Stepped out and waved him down, full uniform and all and asked for a pic. He didn’t hesitate and allowed me the opportunity before taking off. Still follow his video parts when I can. He always appears humble and he confirmed that when I met him. I wish nothing but the best for this incredible man and athlete. He represents the best in both bmx and mountain biking!

I remember when he got the Real BMX award and he actually said "I'm giving it 6 months or a year then I'm done" and I don't think I've ever been so sad to hear that.... I am so happy he stuck w/ it because now he's literally recognized as 1 of the best riders in the world. I'd say he's easily in the top 10 best street riders on the planet, but as for all around rider, I'd say he's in the top 5.... Watching him ride and the way he sees the world through BMX eyes, not only on the obstacles he chooses but also the tricks he does on them. In my opinion, he's one of the most unique riders and I love watching him ride... I hope someday I can actually see him ride in person, and since he's lives so close I might be able to do that. 😁😂

I remember seeing Brad on TV when he was a little kid competing at a King of Dirt Am event held on Pier 17 in New York (had to have been the early 2000's). There were so many legends like Evan Vandetti, Superfly and Darryl Nau in attendance but Brad stuck out in my mind as someone to look out for. He was just a kid and holding his own against these older dudes on some big jumps and it was quite a sight to see, all in all Brad has been killing it since the early 2000's and its about time everyone outside of bmx see's how good he is and what he's capable of.

Back in 2010, I was living in San Francisco and stumbled onto Brad double-pegging up a handrail near Chinatown. As a BMXer, I knew him immediately and chatted for a sec before getting a quick pic and going on my way. Super chill guy. I'm stoked to see he's still at the top of the wonderful sport that is street bmx.

I'm glad y'all did this, was all pretty much covered in the podcast but maybe this can reach more people. I love how BMX is a subculture all it's own outside of the rest of the cycling industry, but it's crazy how hard it is for someone as talented as Brad has always been to not have this breakout sooner. I see MTBers and road racers become household names but how many people know who Ruben is? Cheers to Brad for making it for all of us and showing what BMX is all about, hard work and determination.
