but they all look and appear the same rather than unique and "themselves". judging from these videos from dg show, it seems like there's a defined mainstream style within the subculture that people who's more introvert and just into the music and message feel alienated by. also to some degree, i think people watching this feel cringe because it dawns upon them that they are also like this. they thought they were unique and had a special spiritual bond with the d9, but when all the unique drainers gather together it acts as a mirror and shows them how much they've actually fallen in line into this whole cliché drain culture. They thought (silly them) they were unique and that this was something they invented themselves by listening to bladee and reading about gnosticism on wikipedia.

I don’t think there’s anything to be embarrassed about. Most of the people except for the first dude seem pretty down to earth and chill. Everyone finds their own interpretation and connection to their music and that’s kind of the beauty in it. Also I think there definitely are some spiritual undertones especially with Crest and a lot of the more recent Bladee. Maybe not sexuality so much as like identity specifically with Ecco.
