That's for sharing. I'm disabled and have mobility issues and also use a scooter. I appreciate the tour. We have one booked on Radiance of the seas in March 2023. Love this video. I'm a big girl and was afraid to use the shower stool but, since you showed me how strong it is I will definitely try out.

Thank you for the video and foe your thoughts on those of us with disabilities and/or handicaps. My husband and I will be using this cabin in June for Alaska. I'm someone with a scooter, but I also have to use the grab bars and shower bench. I have a rare condition that limits my mobility. It's sad the looks I get from people who see me walking slightly (like when I park in the buffet near the table and walk to get food), so judgmental. I have a very noticeable limp. I can walk in very small distances. I want to say to those that judge, I'd do anything to walk normally as I once did. But anyway, thank you for the video. I like seeing video tours of our upcoming cabins so I can plan ahead where I'll be parking & charging the scooter. :) I wish more of these specific videos were available.

Nice video. I appreciate your thoughts at the end. I always look at the shower chair as not being as sturdy as other benches but I love how you sat to show that it works. That balcony has the extra space i love since o use a scooter. Keep up the great videos.

Thanks for watching! I like to be as detailed as I can. Sometimes that makes for a long video but it can be informative to someone.

Fantastic tour of the room! I absolutely agree that there needs to be more outlets for things like CPaps and scooters, etc. but I know that you can fill out the Special Needs form ahead of the cruise and one of the check boxes was an extension cord. I appreciate this particular tour because I'm bringing my bestie in September on a different ship, but it's an accessible room. She's unsteady on her feet, so we're getting a scooter for her, and she'll appreciate a higher toilet and grab bars.

Agree. Not sure if limited by available Tech to upgrade these older Ships/Cabins with more outlets but defiantly needed.

That was a very well-stated message regarding accessibility and perception. Thank you for saying it!

Just her excuse to get a larger cabin and removes that cabin from someone who REALLY needs it!😞😡

Thank you, that was excellent. Did you do one for the Mardi Gras as well? I will be boarding it in Dec., 2022 to celebrate turning 80 years old last week. I will be solo in my fully accessible cabin, but several friends are also sailing that week, too. I have the mobility issues, using a scooter. and am hearing impaired. When my cochlear implant is not in place, I hear very little so Carnival is providing accommodations for that, too. I really appreciated your soap box !! I’m so excited to cruise again. I am enjoying your Mardi Gras vlog. Thank you! I’ve subscribed.

Hi! On the Mardi Gras we did not have an accessible cabin, however we did contact their special need department prior to sailing. They were great and helped with things we needed. The room is tight (we had a cove) and we were able to move some things around as needed. We also had the chairs removed from the balcony. The biggest issue with any mobility device is going to be the elevators. They are too small! During busier times you will be at the mercy of strangers to make space for you. There were a lot of mobility devices so I suggest packing some patience for that. Another idea is to try to avoid the center elevators if you can, seemed like the others were less busy. Have fun! The ship is very nice. 😀

Thank you for sharing this video. My sister and I are taking a cruise and she uses a walker at home but for a lot of walking she uses an electric wheelchair. I had to sort through a lot of video's to finally find this one actually showing the room layout. Great tour and excellent insight. Thanks again.

Make sure to do it way ahead of time I had a untimely accident before my cruise wrecked my foot and they couldn’t do anything for me for accessibility not even on a wait list and a roll in shower and wider rooms for a wheelchair is all I really needed. They have very limited accessible rooms and they aren’t always given to ones who really need it so yea if you know you need one enough ahead of time not like me 😅 request it earlier Bc they leave you out to dry if you don’t. They also require you keep your scooter and wheelchair in the room too so if you have a standard room like me with no other options then you’re kind of screwed and need to be very specific with which wheelchair sizes or scooters you can rent for the cruise and there’s no wheelchairs to rent while on the cruise either they said they can onboard you but they take it back right after

Thank you for sharing, great Video. Haven't done a Balcony Accessible Cabin yet. Does the Phone have letter keys on it? If so it's for Deaf Passengers, my Great Aunt had one couple decades ago... Oh and this is my Favorite Ship/Class, completed dozens Cruises on Serenade and Brilliance. Looking forward to Jewel in April and Serenade Panama Canal in Oct, my first Canal Cruise

Ah it did have letters on it. That makes sense! Thanks for letting us know and thanks for watching.

Great video!! We'll be in the same room for a future cruise. I was wondering how the noise level is in the room as it seems to be directly above the bar? Do we need to bring ear plugs? Thank you so much!!

Awesome! Thanks for watching! You will have a great time. We really don’t remember hearing any noise at all. It’s a wonderful room with plenty of space and close to the elevators.
