They look great! Back in the day we would use fabric stiffener or glue and water to make silk flowers look porcelain. I imagine you could do same thing and then use chalk paint.

These turned out beautiful. I did the plaster several years ago with larger flowers and put a tea light on the middle. The Oswald Chambers book is an excellent book. Next time keep that one to read. 😉

OH! Lisa, you outdid yourself with these book stacks! Lol.....I love the look you gave them and I'm really intrigued by that tissue wrap idea. Boy, that really beats always painting them, although I think there are times for both ways. I experimented with doing a faux cement look on a couple of hardback books. I used two sizes of the IOD birds in flight molds and added a small, black and white floral stamp to partially show under the larger bird, added some lightly tinged bluish gray color here and there kinda shadowing it in places, then finished with stippling and spreading and more stippling, etc., over the entire book. It turned out pretty good! I did use 220 sandpaper to gently smooth any rough edges. I love those birds and like you, I love adding scriptures to things where I can.Thank you for another great inspirational video.
