I love Seville, in 1967-68 I was in the USAF and stationed next to the city for 2 years. I lived downtown in an apartment for most of that time. Great food and the people were very nice.

I will be staying in Triana for one month in November studying Flamenco. I am an older dancer (67) fulfilling a lifetime dream. I will be renting an Airbnb within a few blocks of my teachers studio! Abit nervous that I may feel lonely. My Spanish is fairly good but not fluent. I thought maybe taking some classes in Spanish would be smart and a way to connect with other travelers.
@angelleon7528Ай бұрын
Are you already in Seville? How are those flamenco classes going? Enjoy your stay very much. I think it will be an unforgettable experience for you. Andalusians are very friendly

@angelleon7528 I am in Sevilla and taking 2 Flamenco classes a day! Have already gone to 3 Flamenco performances. Made a wonderful young friend from Italy whom is leaving today so I am a bit sad. She is the daughter I have always wanted and also a Flamenco dancer.

@@carendancer8265 Fantastic, I'm very happy to see that age has not stopped you from trying to fulfill your dreams. Make the most of your stay in Seville and don't limit yourself to flamenco, tour the region, visit Jerez, which is the cradle of flamenco. As for their "new" daughter, as we say in Spain, the world is a small world, they will surely find new opportunities to continue seeing each other. An affectionate greeting.

Great video, Isn’t better to use seville or malaga as a base? I noticed that there are more flights out of Malaga Thanks
@OurTravelPlace Жыл бұрын
Personally I wouldn't use frequency of flights to decide which one to choose unless I was completely torn between the two! I would look at which city I actually would prefer to visit as they look very different (based on research as we've not been to Malaga yet!) so one might appeal to you more than the other. I would look at which day trips I was hoping to do to see if one city would be more convenient than the other. Whatever you decide, have a great trip! 🙂

@OurTravelPlace Жыл бұрын
@@emreunluu Check when Semana Santa falls (I think it's late March next year). Whether this is a good thing or bad thing depends on if you'd like to experience it I suppose! March sounds like a good time to visit to me. Temperatures much milder than summer but still pleasant for a city break, although you might get a bit of rain. You never can know with weather though!

What time do they eat dinner? I heard around 9PM or so 😰.
@OurTravelPlace Жыл бұрын
I cover meal times in the 'let's talk food' chapter at 11:07 but in short yes, 9pm is a popular time to eat but you will be able to eat earlier if you want to (we found plenty of options from 7-7.30 onwards, and outside those hours you could always find something). Depending on how hot it is when you visit you might find you want to eat later than usual anyway! (We did)

Is it true that entry to the Cathedral is free on Mondays? Thank you.
@OurTravelPlace Жыл бұрын
I think it used to be that there was a set number of tickets on Mondays at a set time that you could book in advance first come, first serve. From looking at the Cathedral website it looks to me as though it's now 100 tickets per week but not just on Mondays, but again it's a case of if you can get one in time. This is the link I was looking at anyway: catedraldesevilla.entradasdemuseos.com/visit/catedral-y-giralda-gratuita
