I'm new to your channel so I apologise if this has already been addressed but how do you meal plan? Do you already know every meal you're making everyday for the entire month? Love watching your channel.
@OurTribeofMany

Yes! I have videos on it so you can search my channel for that but I do plan out the whole month for all meals and I try to make it simple. So every Monday is the same breakfast, lunch, and snack. Every Tuesday is the same, etc. Dinners change but to help make planning easier I do checked meals Thursday...ground beef meals Friday, etc. ☺️

you will never buy brown sugar again after making it once. You put white sugar in your mixing bowl (I use my kitchen aid) get the beaters going and pour in some molasses. The more molasses you add the darker the brown sugar. It tastes just like the store bought and it is so super easy to make. Love your videos. I have started shopping once a month and the impulse buys are almost nil. Wish I had known this and meal planning when I had kids at home.

I've often wondered if my husband even sees the products we use in our home, especially when I send him to the store and he comes home with stuff I've never used in the nearly 30 years we've been together. Now, I send him to the store with a cut/paste list with actual brand PICTURES so he can buy the correct items. I know the way men think-we Moms have the situation handled, so he doesn't need to pay attention to brands/quantities/etc. I feel ya! :)

Della Vest tell me about it. My husband don’t even look at prices! He always buy the unnecessary expensive stuff. Colors get him. If it’s bright, he picks up. Smh I rather just go or send my 19 year old daughter. My boys age 20 and 23 are just like their father. Its exhausting

Good job, good job, good job Sarah! Excellent in the way you balance out your family's diet & nutrients weekly for your kids from your newborn baby up to you and your husband as adults. Just really smart family planning.. Congratulations on the birth of your newborn baby! Although I've been subscribed to your channel for about a year, I rarely comment. I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I'm so impressed with how you and your husband are so well-organized. You're so much fun to watch in all of your adventures. Plus the fact that all of your kids are well-behaved & well-mannered. You're teaching them right. They're good kids! Compared to even smaller family's of 3 or 4. We all learn so much by watching how you make your family unit work. Kudos and bless you and your beautiful loved ones..: )

Hi Sara, at the beginning of these videos each month you tell us that you go back in the middle of the month for milk, fresh fruit, and veggies but we never see a haul on those items. I think it would be awesome to see the stuff that you get in the middle of the month. I'm not saying that I am asking you to do it every month but I think it would be really fun to see maybe as a video idea, please. Thank you for sharing your family with us.

As a British English speaker from London, I find it so interesting how you say “things of...”. I’m used to saying and hearing words like bag (which you used), bottles, boxes, packs, portions etc. I’ve never heard things used it this way before. 😂 This is so interesting to me, and I’ve heard a few Americans use that word during their shopping/grocery hauls. Love these videos. Please keep it up. I’m only feeding one (myself), yet I’m a big planner and prep-er when it comes to my food and spend.😊

Slice one of your roasts into VERY thin strips, marinate overnight (soy sauce, garlic powder, a very little bit of brown sugar & tiny bit of liquid smoke, maybe some cayenne or hot pepper flakes....any marinade would work, actually depending on what you like) then lay on a baking tray & put into a low oven for several hours (or into an air fryer or dehydrator)....Voila...your own healthy beef jerky with no weird additives. Lasts a LONG time in airtight containers and/or freezer.

Stating the obvious 😁 but it’s time for your freezer challenge and I’m excited to see that. Your plate overfloweth at the moment.

I already started one of my new years resolutions. I am grocery shopping Saturday and I made a meal plan for the next 5 weeks. I started meal planning and I'm going to go grocery shop according to the menu I made. Hopefully I can stay under 900.

Hey see if your Aldi is doing the grocery pick up. I noticed on-line that some stores are offering it. Mine isn’t yet. Dissapointed but maybe soon!

Glad you mentioned the moong beans. I will make it as soon as I get home. Bought the beans weeks ago but never got motivated to fix them. I have left over beef roast and cilantro that need to be used. Good timing.

I know you are a busy busy mom I'm obsessed with organizing right now do you ever get that way where you take everything out and redo or organize . I'm so happy I'm not the only one who used to shove food wherever it would fit lol 😂 I just couldn't take it anymore I would forget what I bought and I figured that at $50-65$ a month in food was going bad and that's slot when I have to buy groceries on a small budget
