Thank you. ‘JOY’ is the word that struck me to my heart this year. Every Christmas season, a word or song seems to pick me- and its powerful message crops up all along my days- inspiring me and touching my heart. Joy - is this year. My family who I connect with in the House of the Lord - taught me so much about covenant JOY this year. I am learning what joy is anew. Thank you for the words you shared this morning. Joy is accessible to the world - through Christ’s Gift that keeps giving to us & all of us. ♥️ May you have a joy filled year ahead.

Interestingly, two weeks ago the thought came to me that Isaiah 52:7 is possibly about the glad tidings of the birth of the Son of God - I hadn't thought about that before - I'd always assumed it was talking about the glad tidings of the word or gospel as you pointed out. Then I listened to Elder Holland's Christmas message encouraging us to believe in angels, and it seemed to echo the impression of Isaiah 52:7 describing how beautiful upon the mountains were the feet of the angels who brought glad tidings who published peace - I've often wondered what mountain? And what does it mean to have servants publishing tidings on a mountain - and why are their feet so beautiful? Well perhaps the mountain being referred to is the Shepherd mountain where the sacrificial lambs were being watched over that these messengers came to deliver their message of "glad tidings" and publish peace? Why were their feet highlighted? Perhaps when angels visited the shepherds, they hovered in the air, and their feet were noticeable because they were so high up? Angels are higher than men, and Christ is described to have been a little higher than the angels - so like the Book of Mormon echoes, Christ Himself is the ultimate Messenger of the Covenant, of the Word, of Peace. Thank you for sharing your wonderful insights with us brother. I especially loved the learning of the anunciation blessing by Bedouin women, "for unto you a son or daughter is born"... what greater joy in life is there, than to know your sorrows in labor have been turned to that joyful news of the birth of a newborn babe!
