Animals are truley amazing and its fascinating to see things we see as only human behavior being displayed by other animals, really puts you in your place y'know. An interesting fact about wolves, when the pack is on the move, seniors travel ahead, young in the middle and prime on the back. This way, seniors or young once, do not fall behind, by being slower. They also take care of their seniors, cuz at some time, they took care of the pack, when they were in their prime. Such a strong family bond. Very intelligent and misunderstood animals.

Capital letters are used for emphasis, not yelling… The fact that human beings are arrogant enough to dismiss the intelligence and myriad of talents and/or exceptional qualities of the other creatures with whom we SHOULD BE sharing this planet AND protecting at all costs shows just how ridiculous and undeserving we are to have such ABSOLUTE PRECIOUS TREASURES. When are human beings going to wake up and recognize the value of the splendor around us IS MORE VALUABLE THAN ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD COMBINED?! Was just down here to comment how frustrating and infuriating it is to watch otherwise incredibly intelligent people be _astonished_ that other animals have thoughts, feelings, and personalities. Just because we lack the ability to understand their diverse and unique languages, seemingly intelligent scientists seem to default to "They don't feel or think until we've tested it."
@davidmellish32957 ай бұрын
@@KaotiquaNo I don't think that's quite true, the scientists know that other species can think and feel BUT it's how intelligent each species is that they're testing.
@Kaotiqua7 ай бұрын
@@davidmellish3295 That may be what they think, but it isn't how they act. Remember- this is the culture of people who thought (and often STILL think,) that it's perfectly ethical to perform cruel, sometimes absolutely horrific experiments on other species. The irony in this being, they _know_ other life forms are close enough to humans that they can gain insight by experimenting on them. Full disclosure... I'm a carnivore,and I love honey, eggs, dairy. I just feel we need to treat other species with kindness and respect, rather than torturing and debasing them.

I'm not the least surprised that animals are overlooked as having more intelligence than once thought. I have severe PTSD and i can tell you my dogs all know when i'm frozen in fear but i never knew that a cat could understand when a person becomes fearful but my cat will ŵake me up whenever i'm having fear dreams. She literally paws my face very gently and occasionally will start locking me aggressively until I wake up enough to realize that it's just a dream. That's when she head butts me and let's the dogs take over calming me. It's not just a one off but EVERY time and it's the same way everytime. At first I was shocked but as time went by it happened more often then every time the dream happened. Animals are WAY more intelligent than we give them credit for. None of my animals were ever trained for when I am triggered or dreaming but they respond with overwhelming pushiness to get me out of the trigger or dreaming moments. I can honestly say my bully breed is the one who seems more attuned to the trigger before I even know it.

It makes me so sad and angry how animaIs are being poached for uses that are not even scientifically sound. Rhino horns are made of the same thing our hair and fingernails are. They have NO medicinaI value whatsoever. So punish those demanding it and the poachers hunting them. Educate & give them jobs to protect them so they don't have to poach to make money. What happens when they're aII gone ? Humans cannot keep treating sentient, inteIIigent beings as a resource to be destroyed. I do not want my future grandchiIdren to onIy know them from pictures.

Oh Cecil humankind have reign of this earth, we are not the problem simply because humans exist. We are the top and animals are here for our use. The problem are people who believe that an entire species is going extinct is because they were meant to while other species pop into existence. Of course if we hunt them out or hurting them on purpose of course that's wrong but if it is over me having a child... uh oh well, we .. our human life is valued well over any animal.

When I was learning to Scuba dive, Blue Springs was my first inland dive. The Spring and begining of the river is 120 feet deep and at that time there was a large tree crossing the hole at the center. In exploring I found myself being pushed through the water by a mother Manatee scraping her back across my tanks. In seconds I was moved 20 feet. I think she wanted me away from her calf. It was Christmas Day, 1987 and 72 degrees outside but the water was warmer. It is illegal to approach them without approval by the powers that be but that doesn't mean, they can't approach you. LOL When I turned around and saw that ginormous head, I swam away as fast as my fins could take me. I didn't see any alligators but plenty of fish, Gar pike and snapper turtles.

To me the most amazing animal is the octopus. Its problem solving ability is beyond that of all the creatures. When you consider it's short life span and life alone it's beyond amazing
