The sheer confidence displayed throughout the game must of been intimidating to be up against. Literally hitting tower and farming waves while 3 people anxiously hover around you is some bravado.

Hello. New Illaoi main here. I saw another dude play with tear, would you ever recommend that for mana, since I feel when you stay in line quite a while, you use a lot of mana. Why, why not?

He does use Tear against very tanky opponents or when he's likely to get forced into building defensive items, because he then needs more mana to kill opponents. Anyway, when you're on low mana in the laning phase you can always make good use of the mana trick, which is casting Q/E/R with low mana and then casting W during the cast time of Q/E/R : the game will take your W mana, and then you won't have enough mana left when the Q/E/R mana is taken out of your mana bar but this will not erase the spell, you will just go down to 0 mana, which means you got a free W.

Check out more of dirtymobs videos and you'll see he buulds tear in a lot of his games. Usually on 1st back or even as a starter item when he can get away with it. He also explains his reasons for buying/not buying tear or when to upgrade it into fimbulwinter.

Why don't you freeze lane to increase your gap? You always fast push.

I do try and freeze when I can't 1v2, but if I can 1v2 then I want to pressure the jungler to roam top. Soaking jg pressure, winning 1v2s, and taking plate is how you carry the early/mid games on Illaoi. Freezing is good, just less good than what I do.
