I might be the only person to not mind the cuff on the blocker.

I guess it can depend on how you use it. I like to really project it forward on down low/in close plays and when trying to redirect farther shots with it, and that’s when I can really notice it. In a generic stance or dropping the blocker in a butterfly block, it doesn’t really come into play.

This is truly the most comfortable pad right out of the box I have ever used. I also really loved the rubber grip, very soft.

I went with the tune fit and prof strap. Took the tune fit off and used the prof strap. Thought I wouldn’t like it. But love it

Great-looking set! The one spec I'm curious to hear your thoughts on is the calf bracket. I would have figured you'd have opted not to go for that given the preference for softer pads. Looking forward to the on-ice impressions. 👍

For me it’s more about the flexibility from the knee up. Also, as I said in the video, boot flex is probably the most important “flex” for me in a pad and the boot flex on these pads is great.

I went from Vaughn SLR2 with quickslide to a custom set of Hyperlite 2 that I received 2 weeks ago. My first skate I felt the Vaughns slide much better, but the Hyperlite's slide was not bad. However, on my second skate I came to the conclusion that I like the slide on the Hyperlites better as I felt I was sliding just enough to make the saves where with the Vaughns I tended to slide too far resulting in a goal. Sliding with Hyperlites is much more controlled compared to my old Vaughns.

looking at ordering mine, our of curiosity what size did you go for and whats your FTK size? i was quite disappointed that there was no +2" option only the standard +1.5"

All Bauer sizes actually equate to a +1. So for instance, mine are medium which equals a 34+1. My ATK is 17.5 and FTK is 20.5

@@L7spider superb, great help as i was coming from leferves where i had oversized incorrectly. (33+2) was worried i was going to do the same with the bauers but im a 20" ftK so pretty close to yourself!

@@L7spider are you sure about that? My XL Bauer's Line up with a +2 CCM (at least the older line)

@@tommywd40 well companies plus sizes vary. So Bauer’s +1 may very well line up to CCM’s +2. I’m just going by what Bauer lists them as. They list all their sizes as +1.

Standard is +1 they just claim it plays like a 1.5 whatever that means.
