I have a Martha Washington table and an Eastlake Gliding rocker that I am repairing tomorrow. I went into the KZbin rabbit hole and came out with a few hints for the age of these pieces. I want to repair them, not restore, reimagine, redesign, reuse or refuse! LOL. So, thanks for the very precise work on this chair, it made me realize that I know what I am doing. I went to auctioneer school, and have bought and sold antiques and collectibles for nearly 50 years. Oh, and my mom owned an antique shop before she retired. We still enjoy the "leftovers" for now. Her health is waiting at 85 now so I need to get her to let go of some stuff. Such is life.

Your comment means? One could assume you lack good manners. I was taught that 'if you can't say something nice, don't say anything'. The piece was already in the state it was in, for the trash. But this bloke saw a potential for it to have a new beginning as an object of use. Being usable or serving its purpose. Today's furniture should have such a long existence. And be rejuvinated one could say a new 'life'. Born and then death. Lived and died. It is so sad we would choose sarcasm over praise, for someone's endeavour. Maybe we could see a similar item you have done? Just my opinion, or should I say right to return a critic', of the critic.😊
