I'm with you Karen. I'm 65. Those politicians in their '70s, '80s and '90s need to retire and let some young folks pass the torch 🔦, now

Seriously, I'm 68 and so tired of these old white men mostly (and I'm white) who won't retire and won't sit down and be quiet. Y'all had your time and made a miserable mess of our political and legal systems and still want to grasp onto the last bit of power and they doing it by any means necessary too! It's long overdue to let the younger generations have their opportunity!

The Democratic Party is beyond reform or redemption. The party is corrupt & needs to join the Whigs in the dustbin of history. Republicans are garbage too. We need to look to candidates running for office offering the duopoly.

I’m 60 and I think what Pelosi did to AOC was ugly. Also letting the old dude with cancer be chairman of appropriations was wrong too. The elder dems and repubs need to step aside. It’s a new day, their time has passed.

I’ve been saying this for almost 20 years. No one over 65 should be in politics. Time to keep up with the pulse of the people. This country is last in taking care of its people. I bet if they put a salary cap on politicians pay, they wouldn’t stay forever. Hold them to the same pay and health care costs as they expect us to live with.

Two things: 1. James Carville, Chump Schumer & Miss Nancy have held that party back for too long. They rather keep their spots than fight to make things right. 2. Is there anything more useless than NBA podcasts. For that matter, we as a people are being bamboozled by the usual suspects in sports media who have us hate those who can help our community and support those who dont.

No more Pelosi, Schumer, no more Clintons- Bill or Hilary. No more Beto Orork (sp), and yes, the Obamas- I am tired of Democrats parading them around when they need to vitalize a dead candidate. No more Clyburn or Abrams. No Donna Brasil, No more Oprah, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Cardi B, or Meghan the Stallion- these singers don't move people to the voting booth, only to impromptu concerts.

Karen, I give you so much credit for your patience. I am so tired of the fringe right, MAGA, calling me every derogative variation of Liberal OK, first of all, I have been politically homeless for a very long time -since early 2000’s And has been rapidly declining since Obama. The Democrats will not listen to your advice at least not the ones in and capable of power. They will definitely adhere to proper etiquette. The norms must be maintained and hope that by setting a good example the Republican Party will reciprocate and realize how foolish they’ve been. The mask they wear has been stripped off because all I see when they don’t do what they should do . At the key times they have the mantle because of these sad excuses is a reason to continue the systemic debauchery they call politics. I do hope you are correct and things do start changing, but I don’t see that happening . Especially now that most of the incoming administration are literally the top 1% . The Congress and Senate were already owned by half of these people that are coming into actual power as we speak. Take over departments change them alter them or completely dismantle them . They don’t even need to own the congress and senator anymore .

I completely believe that all politics is local. If I cannot register as unenrolled/undeclared, I register in the political party in power in my area and vote against encumbency in local elections. If they lose in primary elections, it is likely they cannot win in general elections. My mission: get rid of pols who fail me in every election.

I live in Mace's district. It's gerrymandered to the hilt. It's more than just Charleston. It stretches from Awendaw and McClellanville in the north all the way down to Beaufort County to the south. With the exception of Charleston itself (which can go either way), it's very conservative. In ther infinite wisdom (snark), the republicans who redrew the lines after the 2020 Census put most of the democrats who had been in the 1st into Jim Clyburn's district (the 7th). Mace DID have a primary opponent, who she beat handily. In the general, she beat Michael B. Moore (who barely campaigned).
