Demu saying Valdemar played dumb and made the wrong choice all inning him shows the type of person he is, had he been in that 2v1 and ultimately 3v1 situation, he would've surrendered as shown in the past games. Good on Valdemar for fighting till the end.

OMG, Demu had a chance at the end. He had the eco, the vills, and the resources. If he had known that, he would have continued, but this is FFA; you have to fight to the end.

As much as I dislike Demu always giving up too easily and flaming people who don't deserve it, he had no chance of beating a +150 pop fully teched Zhu Xi's Legacy that has all the relics, when he has 0 additional pop. The game would have lasted about 5 extra minutes. If Bee just goes Bombard + Imperial Guard, there is nothing that trades pop per pop against that and he has twice as much army as Demu.

When u now how Demu behaved in one of the last octagons, its a shame how he „evolved“ since that time. Teals start is both a blessing and curse, he won't get hit early so he can boom all he wants, but no matter who is left on the other side he is always going to be down in max pop

I had a ffa where i got my villagers on a tiny island in the east part of the map, with a coastal trading post north west to my island. It was’´t an island map but i got an island position, and as the french… O boy, i killed the other with me on the island, i fought like hell to get my trading post secured, and i double-walled + castles + TC with red palace + siege to sink ships… then i did the wonder. I was safe from a runby like that even though i was really isolated. Dyukusi made a huge mistake not double/triple-layer their base.

@@Vlagstaf ya, Dyuksui had the god spawn and threw the game. Corvinus also had a strong position to win if he just allied with DeMu to kill Bee who was a bigger threat. Instead he insisted on forcing a 1v2 without a military or economic advantage. They would likely have won a 2v1 against Bee, and then Corvinus would have had the stronger position over DeMu.

Fantastic game, especially for DeMu. It was great to see him push through even while being attacked by an army that countered his pretty hard. Had he given up like previous games, yellow likely would have been able to defend from teal, and completely change the outcome.

I don't get it post final game your response to anonymising names is you didn't perceive anything odd despite chat mentioning a particular individual and their activities or build. Why is there resistance against anonymising names if it would possibly be fairer? I'm sure you're aware of the history between certain individuals. It definitely makes for great entertainment watching them "banter" but when it's in a competition it doesn't sit quite right. Hopefully this isn't taken in a negative way it was still enjoyable to watch especially with the commentary good job on hosting.
