Hello, just a follow up; I have been watching your channel for some time, years...LOL...I believe that you both have proven the fact that you do not need some monster motorbike to undertake a Bike Adventure, that with some effort and hope you can ride many roads under very different conditions and to see you both work together has been fantastic. Well done....

Great idea getting an air bnb out of Alice , away from all the troubles there. Great to have a week off to relax. I’ve got a classic 350 Enfield which certainly won’t be going out on those sandy roads 😂, good to see your bikes are going well, I assume they are the older 411 engines. Blinking fast can mean a bad earth also

we met quite a few people that had passed through AS and had a few issues so was better to play it safe. Haha no not the roads for that bike. Yep they are going strong, they are the 2020 models with the older engines, a few battle scars but nothing too bad. Ah that’s one we haven’t heard, thanks for the tip :-)

Can be a challenge doing maintenance on the road, but it's good that you aren't afraid to have a go. Motorbike riders probably get more 'hands on' than car drivers. Depending on the bike, I usually wrap spare globes, fuses etc in bubble wrap and tape under the seat. Looking forward to more episodes!
@TinaandJason5 ай бұрын
Hi Bon, yeah it is, we were lucky that we only needed to do maintenance on the road a couple of times though, we were getting them serviced every 5k so that took care of most things but every now and then something would pop up. Good idea to carry spare bulbs, we will from now on. Early on in the trip we met an experienced biker who told us to carry spare fuses, which came in handy while we were travelling down the Gibb River Rd, not sure what we would have done if we didn't have a spares. Cheers

Blinking fast means bulb is wrong wattage.
@TinaandJason5 ай бұрын
Cheers, thanks for the tip Andrew :-)
@philmenzies24775 ай бұрын
A likely cause of the fast flash rate is the new bulb is the incorrect wattage.

Are the dates on your vids right? 2022.... that's a little while ago now :P Glad to see your next leg of your adventures. Stay safe :)
@TinaandJason5 ай бұрын
Hi Greg, yep they're the right dates. It's just taken us that long to find the time to go through the footage and edit it. We thought we would add the dates to give some context as we talk about petrol prices, we thought they were crazy at the time but little did we know what they would become 😂
@greglipschitz5 ай бұрын
@@TinaandJason You've clearly been too busy having fun! :D (and working ....)
@budget-adventure5 ай бұрын
Great to get a check in on the trip progression. But was the date a typo? Did you do this trip 2 years ago and only editing it together for us now?
@TinaandJason5 ай бұрын
Thanks mate. Yep the dates are correct, it's hard to believe it's been that long seriously. We tried to edit while on the road but gave up once we got into the NT, it was hard to find the time as we were still running our business and working remotely while travelling so the editing took a back seat. We're slowly getting through the back log though haha. But we thought we should start adding dates for context as the petrol prices we complain about are considered cheap these days 😅

Just a question, do you have standard RE racks on your bikes, especially the rear rack, and also the RE rear box, have you had breakages of that rear rack, as I am in the middle of deciding to get the box, for my 2023 himi, but with the max the rack can take at 7kg, you guy's seem to have more weight on there.
@TinaandJason3 ай бұрын
Hi Ric, no we replaced the racks. We heard about them having issues so didn't want to risk it while travelling around Australia. We first bought some cheap ones off ebay which were a complete waste of money, they didn't fit. Then we decided to bite the bullet and buy the rear rack from hitchcock motorcycles The top boxes we use are the trekker outback from Givi. We carried a lot of weight in them at times and had no issues the whole trip with the racks. They cost more than we wanted to spend but glad we bought them in the end so we didn't have to worry about them breaking. Hope that helps :-)
@darrabase13 ай бұрын
@@TinaandJason Thankyou will go the way you did, because the re rack wont survive.
