Yeah, Lil G has a tendency to crash, just like Hong10 used to in the past. They both take a lot of risk, but when it comes to Hong10, he has eventually mastered the moves he used to crash on. Regarding Lil G, I hope he will get to that point too :) Talking about this particular battle, I would give it to Quake without a tie. But you know, battles are quite subjectives :) I mean judges opinions. Cheers :)

In the second round if Lil G didn't crash , it's a win for Lil G , on the extra round for me it's a Tie again ... Quake Thrown a not so powerful set , also Lil G is not on point and and they're both tired ,,,

@@MGradowskiTrip Lots of bboys who started in the 90’s like Hong10 used to crash quite a bit, but back then it wasn’t penalized as strongly. I rewatched old WCRTM and fss tapes and a lot of guys (Bebe, Kmel, GZ crew, Rhythm Bugz, The Family, etc…) used to crash a lot. Originality was way more important back then since you only had a chance to show your moves in maybe 1, 2 battles a year internationally. Lil G got big at a time when battles, especially 1v1’s were happening all the time with thousands of competitors at every jam. As a result every bboy needs to be perfect, but you also see very similar looking styles….

@@Floorslug yeah, I actually need to agree with that. It brings back some old videos where the risk was taken just show something brand new to the table. Don't know why, but some images of Legs keep flashing in my mind now where he was trying to do the transition from swipe to windmill. Dont know exactly where I took this memory from. Yeah, anyway, you made a good point about not having too much chances to show your skill, what might have been the reason (and probably was) for the bboys to take that risk. Today we have more opportunities, more events and more chances to practise all of our arsenal. Maybe that's why the slips are more important now for the judges.

@@MGradowskiTrip Yup exactly. You had maybe 2 big jams to go to per year, so you wanted to stand out and be original. That’s why guys from OSA, Style Elements, GZC, Supernatz, Circle of Fire started getting big. Nowadays everyone see all the same looking combos because its more about execution and getting the move down consistently regardless if its original or not, especially since bboying is moving towards the olympics. Nothing wrong with it, it’s just different….
