From what I understand too, the tornadoes are based on real world data collected from actual tornadoes and modified to run in the game engine which is even cooler

I like the volumetric clouds and understand why they had to change them, but the clouds they had in the 2021 showcase looked incredible with the lighting.

They look a bit cartoonish, Something realistic looking clouds would be nice like the volumetric clouds in RDR2 and Some Minecraft shaders like bliss shader

Speaking purely as someone that is both a programmer, AND lives in Tornado Alley I'm looking forward to this game for several reasons. 1. It's a technical feat. This kind of volumetric cloud system, dynamic weather events, destructible environments, - the programming for it - You (to those that don't) have NO idea how much work that all takes. Things like this even being POSSIBLE in today's technology is insane. Even a decade back we would have dreamed the possibility of something like this and laughed at the fact that it would be hilariously impossible to have something like this function properly even with the weather prediction models that we could've scraped data off of. 2. Having a chance to show my children how the complexity of a storm evolves as it progresses, cell mixtures, etc. is INVALUABLE because - frankly - playing a game to show them is probably considerably safer than taking them into an active storm.

Finally, a game that does these storms justice. A game that actually captures the horrific beauty of tornadoes and the atmosphere a tornadic storm creates. My heart aches a little knowing it'd be near impossible to get something this gorgeous running on my computer, but I'll be so happy to see this game release nonetheless. That'll be my next PC benchmark goal; getting a device that can run this utter work of art.

Game looks utterly phenomenal one thing I’d suggest is maybe better textures for the environment and graphics also how the trees sway can be improved maybe more of a smooth animation of it swaying and the clouds could look a little more guess you could say spikey under the storm structure overall this game is sick af

It looks nice, and tbh, to make it even better adding more realistic tornado forms AND formations would be great, for example the things such as a wedge tornado or a tornado that starts off as a multi-vortex, basically the same quality as the clouds in-game but in the form of a tornado

first off, this game looks absolutely phenomenal and im super excited to buy it and play it but i also have a couple of questions. 1. Will we be able to rate the damage of the tornadoes at some point? 2. will we be able to play AS the tornado at some point? 3. if at one point we are able to play as the tornado, do we choose the size, category, and speed of the tornado? is the damage erratic and not face-value? 4. is there detailed structure build quality? are some structures stronger than other? (ancho bolts, toenailing, etc.) I'm sure all the answers aren't ready yet but im so curious but at the same time super excited for a good tornado game
