To be honest the old elder was better because now we have an extra 5% bite cooldown and other debuffs just for the classic powerful elder, so you now need bite trait so that you do not have 5% extra bite cooldown And veneration really is only effective when you are ascending damage trait or bite trait so basically the newest update is kind of horrible except for the 3 elder paths

I remembered when this game was an animal survival game in the very early years of COS. Not some PVP game that you need to spend a ridiculous amount of time in to have creatures and enough strength in slots to even keep yourself alive, because why add more survival aspects when you can add more creatures, features that will already make trading more absurd, and give way to make players overly powered. It's so easy to get food that it's impossible to starve unless you literally sit and do nothing or good luck trying to even grow as you get targeted by the same feliso with bite and damage trait with full veneration over and over again. That uses the excuse they needed food, when we all know is they are as bored as us, but don't care about others gameplay. It's depressing to see COS lose its identity over the years, and the devs don't give a damn. Mostly due to the fact they relish in it. As trading and collector games on Roblox make bank. Sorry for a long rant, but seriously, COS is an perfect example of a game that lost its identity. Because no matter how I play it, it will never have that same feeling anymore.

My personal opinion is this: (Sorry for the long essay) Veneration benefits players who: paid for private servers, have a ton of revives (whom are mostly content creators or devs, or hoarders who ALREADY have a ton of mush, that, lets be realistic, they will probably never use). Casual players who cannot spend 36 hours growing a creature, especially those who enjoy larger tiers, will basically be completely unable to compete with hardcore sweats in a pvp situation, in a game heavily focused on pvp. Some may say it makes the stakes higher and raise engagement for the game but surviving 36 hours while being in a actual public server is nearly impossible. Not to mention the leaderboard makes you a literal walking target for trolls, kosers, and/or people who just wanna be toxic. I don't understand the fun in afking in a small server for 36 hours just to die to a tryhard corvorax whom you never stood any chance against simply because ur fav creature wasn't built for this. Where as before you could just use 1 revive, a single good anklebiter will now cost you up to THREE (inflated) revives. (The devs are def trying to inflate revive price) Double reds are essentially mandatory now for pvp players, which only makes the rich richer, not to mention the struggles of bad rng. On the other hand, people who use bannable exploits such as third party software to grind benefit greatly as they can manage multiple accounts with minimal effort. Hackers are now much more dangerous as well and the hacking issue is only getting bigger (and is in a way encouraged by such a grindy gameplay). I also wonder how much more logging there will be, and how salty people will now become if you attack them. When I heard about veneration I was super excited. But now I just feel disappointed. It is clearly an update meant to benefit a very small part of the community and exclude those who simply enjoy cos for what it is: a medium sized roblox game. Again this is extremely long, so my apologies.

Getting mush from Traits was one of the best methods to get Mush but can take DAYS to get double red (Which is still hard) but now with this new Update people get much more richer if they maxed the veneration and "upgraded" the Traits, this is just telling the players to keep playing (Playing every single day) to get the max veneration and sell it. Most of the players are under 13 and with this update, they most likely will not go outside anymore. I am also very disappointed with this update, mostly what you wrote

The only thing i disagree with is having to use revives to get to the next stage of veneration… I understand using them to keep the status, but now the revives are gonna go up in worth again and be impossible to get…making the next stages of veneration unplayable because it takes a max of 5 days to get a revive from the log rewards (for some stupid reason). And i forgot how long to get them from death points. So making us pay to age isn’t fair…

With the traits thing, when you die and choose to regrow instead of revive, the traits will not show up again until you're an adult. That's always been that way. And i know people are complaining about how long it takes, but i am not. It should encourage players to not be as reckless as normal. It should encourage more careful and strategic play if you want to reach a certain stage. And it's not like there's entirely nothing to do. There are still missions and i'm not saying to not pvp while you venerate. I'm simply saying to play it more carefully.

I find that Veneration is a lot easier to achieve on smaller creatues than larger ones. This probably is obvious, but the advantage is simply cause you are noticed less, meaning, there is a lower chance of being killed. The smaller the creatue, the better. Though, it prolly would be best to stay between Tier 2 or 3, cuz a tier 1 with veneration (normally) would be useless. Also, be in migration areas, but stay away from crowds in the migration area. Increases survival chance. I personally think Veneration is a good addition. While it may be slight, it actually makes the game FEEL like a survival game, cause, unlike with max age, once you die with a Venerated creature, it'll take ages to gain back what you once had, creating a cost of death that will definitely make you care about dying a lot more than normal. Additionally, its COMPLETELY OPTIONAL TO VENERATE. I dont understand how one can be mad at something that YOU chose to do. If you dont like veneration and how time consuming it is, then simply dont do it.

Just venerated an Empiterium with a 1x4 skin on it because I'm insane. Altogether it took me ~5 hours to reach stage 5. I used my alt with Vetemortem to put disease on my creature so its hunger drained faster. Stage 1-3 were the fastest since each full regional mission I did gave me around 15% of growth. I honestly feel like eldering my creature took longer than these stages. Stage 4 took me 2 hours because each full regional mission gave me only 5%. Keep in mind I chose powerful elder, here's the meaningful stats: 7250hp -> 7340hp 15750lbs -> 18,936lbs 450dmg -> 518dmg If you want to two shot mid-sized creatures (1036dmg, with Hunter's Curse it's a whopping 2072) then I'd say go for veneration. It's not so bad, plus u can hang out with friends while you do it. Also the extra weight is pretty nice, especially for tiers 5s. I have yet to fight a tier 5 with my Empiterium, however.

You can get to veneration stage 5 under an hr just bi doing regional missions completing a regional mision will make the veneration speed 10% faster and completing all regional missions will give you 13% veneration today i found out just bi playing casual whit Exterreri

I think they will make it much shorter in the upcoming update. It took me(legit) over 6 hours to get from Veneration 1 to Veneration 2 on a damn BELLUVARAPTOR. I'm not sure if the growth speed in Veneration state is the same for every tier but i choose Belluva since it's an tier 1 and only need 12 minutes for full elder. But over 6 hours just for Veneration 1 to Veneration 2 is crazy.

This is a good idea but a bit needs more buffing, like buff the rates of all traits or let up buff both traits per veneration, then also would be good if you can gain a small 3% per veneration to all stats, also why im saying this is good cuz basically the game started to pull in the wrong crowd as now somehow COS is a battle grounds game, not a survival game and those people come and dislike the game cuz they say this BG game sucks, and KOS KZbinrs make it worse by just showing them kosing and not doing a small joke about waiting to grow up or paying to grow up/max token, even had some people actually saying payed to win server cuz we are all grown up like huh? There's also a new title called warden where you have to get 50 CREATURES to VENERATION 5!!! 😭 Assuming it takes 72 hours to fully venerate 1 creature to max, it would take 3600 hours MININUM just to get the title. AND that's assuming you don't die or combat log at all in the process. 72 x 50 = 3600 (for calculations) Edit - 3600 hours is literally equivalent to 150 days, You can literally get the true sonarian title on 3 seperate alt accounts before getting this once Whoever tries to do this, good luck on doing so 😭

This new update is just as bad as I thought it would be, I saw people say "we got a new dev who knows what we want" and then his first day he proceeds to add a leader board and veneration which NOBODY asked for. Now they're gonna have increased logging penalties supposedly and if that happens I honestly don't know how much longer I'm gonna be playing the game. I'm not made of money I can't be buying max growths and revives with robux and I certainly don't have the time to grind as much as most people do, I wish they would make them cheaper in the daily tokens shop again. This update just gives way for SOO much toxic behavior that I've personally seen already happen in game :/

not me, we don’t really need veneration as it takes way to long, but the post elder things like gentle elder, devious elder and strong elder would be more useful tbh, but venetration takes wayyy to long like 6 hours for the first ascent???? It should be like and hour or two hours max at the cost of less trait ascents

Im only at like 22% veneration on my angelic btw to venerate faster you have to socialize with other players such as sharing food, following players when they are hunting or exploring and helping other players in a fight can speed yp the process
