I have a soldering kit from my dad that's been lying in a shed for 4 years, recently got myself a quest 2, this looks like a great project to bust out the kit and try to learn how to make something! edit: 5+3 set finished, tested and I just fried 2 of them. Don't use 18650 batteries if your brain is too smooth to match the big red plus with the other big red plus all in all, slimevr is pretty great. In the 5 hours or so that I had unfried FBT it was a blast and it was super fun building them, highly recommend giving it a shot.

I have been waiting for these for quite a while! I have been using a Kinect One, but since I switched to Virtual Desktop on a Quest 2, I have had significant issues remembering to maintain my orientation with the device. I can't go more than about 30 seconds without turning my VRChat avatar into a corkscrew! High hopes that I will be able to acquire these parts and build a set for myself =D

I am really tempted to build this, but I want to wait for some reviews before I put in the time investment to make 5 trackers, especially when the SlimeVR server isn't even out yet for proper FBT. The BNO08x IMUs are a pain to find right now without the carrier PCB. I wonder if Slime VR actually caused a shortage?? haha! I'm going to try to build this as you've done as a prototype but I'd also like to try my hand at making a custom PCB for the HW for a second revision. Swapping the IMUs out for some MPU6050s for the time being but I'm gonna wait for the BNOs to come back in stock before I go through the process of developing a custom PCB.
