That actually is a beautiful table! That sure can be updated often and become an heirloom piece. I have a complete bedroom set of oak furniture that my father purchased from an oak warehouse. If I remember correctly he paid 3,000 in the early 80's. I was with him when he purchased it as a surprise to my mother, and I remember sitting on my parents bed curling my hair so it had to have been around 1983 when it purchased it. I've never updated it and plan to do it this year. I want to remove as much of the golden/orange (depending on the natural color of the oak) and just give it a nice new finish to clean up scratches and give it a more modern color. This video will surely help me along :) THANK YOU for uploading it.

I have an oak table that is the “outdated orange” like your table. My grandfather purchased it used in 1917 soon after he married my grandmother. It will stay just as it is as there are too many memories tied to it. It goes well with my other oak furniture.

I found this same table at Goodwill for $10, no chairs! It took me a few days to get it painted but I did a medium grey with gold accents. I love it!

When you started on this I wanted to cry. The oak was certainly dated but the wood grain on the table top is beautiful. I was relieved you kept the grain. It turned our beautiful!!! Another job well done. You are so talented!!!

What a great job you did refinishing the kitchen table Lauren. I have an old orange oak table in storage that I need to refinish. It was the table my kids grew up eating at and they don’t want me to get rid of it. I do think I want the while on bottom just because the legs have shape and grooves (not sure how to describe it) and I don’t want to loose that feature of the table. I am indecisive that is why it is still in storage 😣. Last year was terrible around here so I am making 2023 my year to decorate and paint. To change my home to what I want it to be. To be comfortable in my own home. I pray God Blesses ya’ll this year..You, Neiman and Harrison. I love what you did with this table and chairs. I had one similar in the 80’s and early 90’s. My granddaughter and husband bought a home and needed a table and chairs. I gave it to her,she loves it. She likes that it’s real wood and no MDF or particle board. I’m sure she will paint it black but that’s ok with me. Merry Christmas 🎄
