Well, the reason why people stopped suggesting posting shorts is because MANY creators noticed a dip in impressions on their long form content on established channels (not new). Many people have talked about it, you can find videos about it where people show their analytics and how posting shorts caused their long form views to nosedive. I haven't seen anything to suggest this has changed either.

I gained 70% of my subscribers from just shorts! And it's super easy if you just use your phone to remix your long form videos. In my metal detecting niche, I purposely try to keep my dug up finds in 60 seconds or less, but it's best if they are in the 20 to 30 seconds as I get more views from those as I crammed more value into them and they view it much longer. Win-win... thks Robert for your insights!

@richardduke9788 The most subscriber's from one short was 50+ Only took less than 30 minutes to edit it from a long form video I already posted. But subscribers from long form video's are better quality!

I never realised just how complex making videos here is until I started a few weeks back. I don't expect to get rich or famous but I'm scared of getting to that point of 0 views per video.

I highly recommend YOU change your thumbnails so they can see your face all they see is your hat and hair having a face in a thumbnail makes an emotional connection!!

how often would you say to upload shorts? i vlog my life with my horses, i upload a video twice a week, im trying to do a comunity post everyday, so how offten should i be uploading shorts? (i have 5 horses so i can make plenty of content)
