Good luck with your mini sessions! Haha, yes I only realised a few months ago the doors were so photogenic :) In my Christmas mini video from last year I showed how I added the snow (and erased the snowflakes from the faces). I used the same overlay. I will try to start uploading some editing videos soon.

You did great! you always work well under pressure and rock! I can't I wish I could share my CHRISTmas mini photos. I have had the same Santa for four yrs. and have him scheduled for next year, I usually schedule him three years ahead. CHRISTmas 2018 my camera got knocked over! I luckily had my back up I made no money that year because the repair was expensive. Trying to find more of your current videos. You do so awesome in them! Blessings!!! Found one!

Happy holidays! The kids grow up so fast indeed. I love this age though. They can talk for hours, but fall asleep in my arms at the same time. Haha, Jaimy has such an attitude

Your photos are always so beautiful. I am a beginner and would like to do indoor mini sessions, but having trouble with lighting. I think I need help with camera settings. I've tried all different things but the pictures have a really bright light on their face and the rest has really dark shadows. How do you get your photos to be light and airy all around? I am using a Nikon D5100, my speedlight is Nikon SB-700, and I'm using the Wescott Apollo 50"x50". Any advice your can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

Thank you :) Yes, they are my parents. I'm not quite sure how long I spend editing, but it's not that long. I select all the images I really like and record my own actions to batch edit the warmth/colors in the mages. The snow I add later, after the clients have chosen the images.

Heel leuk gedaan! Welke website heb je gebruikt voor je kerstkaarten? Ik wil ook me kerst kaarten sturen, maar wil een Nederlandse website gebruiken voor familie in Nederland. Woon zelf nu een aantal jaar in Amerika. En ik wil dat me foto’s de hoge resolutie behouden. En echt heel leuk al je video’s! Ik heb er veel aan hier. Ook all je tip and tricks! Hello and thank you for sharing. About how much time do you spend with each family? Do you show them their photos right after each shoot? Do they get actual prints or do you use an online gallery? Please and Thank you Edward

Thank you for the good questions :) I spend about 15-20 minutes with each family, but I make sure I have some extra time left in between sessions so the families don't really meet each other. Also to have time to clean some props (like the cups) in between. Sometimes I do show the back of the camera to them to encourage and reassure them, but they only see 1 or 2 images. I use Pixieset as an online gallery. With a mini session, 3 images are included and they can order (select) more if they want. They receive the chosen images without logo, with and without snow.

@@FennaPhotography Thank you for the prompt reply. I do see that you are a full time photographer, so obviously you are very good at your craft. Myself on the other hand, It's a hobby for me, however I really do enjoy it. Funny, I've been taking p pics for quite sometime, but seem to learn something new daily (I've made lots of mistakes over the years, but luckily have been pretty successful in being able to deliver a decent set of images). Fenna you are very artistic and creative. Do you shoot in Manual or aperture and why? How do you choose your settings for exposure when shooting outdoors?

Is it ok using the same blanket and cushion and hats for the shoots? Would you not have to washing between clients? I’ve held off this year on doing my minis for the logistical issues not having a clear guidelines on what needs to be done. Thanks

So, if I understand correctly, all the fabrics are pretty safe as they are porous and the plastic and metal, smooth surfaces are not safe and Fenna was cleaning it. Also the important part is that all those aerosols are evaporated as it's happening outside. Sorry for the intrusion, I'm not an expert of any kind, just shared pieces I know.
