I would recommend wearing Gloves and watch out for hooks may get caught in your rope then your hand. Careful with the big 360 Magnetar Magnet fingers get smashed super easy. Thanks for sharing all these Adventures.

Where I find great stuff with my metal detector is playgrounds, state parks and campgrounds, the beach, boat launch areas, and picnicking areas , Ive never tried magnetic fishing though..

Hi Brandon - The downside to having a really powerful magnet is that if it gets attached to a pipe or something in the water, you might not be able to get it back. Some of the magnet fisherpeople I watch put the magnet in styrofoam so that it won't keep sticking to the side of their car. Marinas and places where peeps go fishing are good places to hunt. Thanks. The 3500lb magnet actually has a lever on it to disengage the magnets I guess you would tie a separate rope to the level to pull the lever if need be. I will do some research on it first though.

ya, i have a couple of magnets, i lost my first one in a rocky stream, got caught between the rocks and my knot didn't hold, i love it tho, the bigger the magnet , the bigger the find, i go off a pier olt, i live near the kennebec river and i get alot of fishing hooks. great luck to you ! i also watch the pro's and they go around buildings with streams and rivers next to them .

Thanks. I just bought a metal detector for the beach and 1 for under water. I don't watch KZbin that much, really have no time when I am shootin'/editin' 4 or 5 videos a week between 2 channels and 1-2 lives a week. I do watch a couple of people on some down time. I also dop not like to watch others so i get ideas and copy off of other channels. if I do somethin' another channel did I can at least say I didn't see them doin' it lol

Finally got around to watching your video. From the picture you got your magnet stuck to the side of the bridge even before watching it. Happens to all them fishers. You should have did some magnet fishing when you are overseas because you could have found a lot of real gems. And if the police ever give you a hard time tell him hey I'm helping the environment out. Make sure you tie your rope to something so you don't throw it all away. If you want to find some good stuff you have to go to the high crime areas.
