I still think it is completely valid that John B didn't immediately comfort Sarah. He did after that scene, but he was very much in the moment of "the man that murdered my father and put me and my friends through hell is finally dead". After he got out of that he tried to comfort her but she was still processing n whatnot and needed space if i remember correctly. Then she goes and cheats on him with her ex the same way she did when she cheated on topper with John B and basically all her bfs as her sister said. Not to say he shouldn't have comforted her in that moment, but that it is completely understandable why he was mentally distracted at the time.
