I disagree with the idea that Episode 1 shows lazy or poor writing. I always expected the Pogues would blow their money. They didn’t get any of the $400 million in Season 1, didn’t get the cross in Season 2, and left with only a backpack in Season 3. So, $1.1 million wasn’t really a huge amount for them. I understand if there’s criticism about how they ended up losing the money, but I thought the explanation of how they spent it during the 18-month time gap was a solid idea and pretty well executed.

Up to episode 4. Really poor writing this season. The characters show little to no growth and the situations they get into are contrived and go beyond suspension of disbelief. J.J. is the worst written character with no redemptive qualities. I refuse to believe anyone would want to be friends with this guy.
