Lol yep. The weather swings might be annoying, but I wouldn't know how to live in any other climate. This morning was REALLY annoying. There was some after-storm clouds hanging around and my apartment was still chilly from the AC keeping the humidity down all night. Stepped outside to take the dog out and the stuffy humidity that slapped me in the face didn't match the lovely cool look of outside. I did make a new autumn-loving friend over it though, one of my neighbors was also out there with her dog and we started complaining that summer is too long lol.

Oof, my wardrobe is 80% sweaters and velvet and I have no idea how to cope with dressing for hot weather. I always turn to jeans and lightweight longsleeve blouses and tops (can’t wear short sleeves to work because of my tattoos). Thank you for the inspiration!

Floor length cotton maxi skirts are the way to go in hot weather. When you're not a show-leg person... Otherwise palazzo pants! Great summer essential! (I sew them myself, super easy projects and they fit my 6feet tall banana body)

@@JariDawnchild I'm lazy. I take a rectangular piece of fabric double. Short site is the two leg hems. Open fold in the middle, cut the full side along the slit to crotch area... sew together and make a tunnel for an elastic waistband... Oh my, it's easy to do, hard to write down xD i bet there are great tutorials on KZbin!!

I like to wear fishnet tights with my summer dresses. They instantly make the outfit edgier without adding warmth. Just be sure to slather on sunscreen so you get any odd tan lines 😁

Just watched this video again, I have a request if doable. It's not very frequent but you know when you have those dressy occasions, weddings, etc., a little bit more formal if you will and when you have to show up a little more fancier? I have always stuck to basic black regardless but would love to see your take on it, I think you mentioned a wedding or occasions that you had to attend. I know there's times where we compromise since there will be photo ops and we have to go with the flow of the occasion. Just a video request, sorry for the double post. Be well.

This really helped. I have been strugglin' over here, trying to find some kind of direction with my summer wardrobe. I feel like I've been wearing the same three things and I really want to shake it up. Also, thank you for adding smock dresses in as an alternative for t-shirt dresses. I think t-shirt dresses are cute, but they sort of turn into a nightgown/mu-mu situation on me because I'm short. Smock dresses help with that because they cinch at the waist a little bit so my goofy curves work with the design a little better.

Lol @ the pool coverups…I’ve literally been wearing those for a few years now as tops over dresses and tanks in summer. The black mesh ones I’ve had so many compliments on and I internally crack up because I know what section of the store I got it from 😂 it gets hot as balls here and no shame wearing something lighter weight when black is a go to wardrobe choice! I also shop babydoll style dresses in maternity sections…🤷‍♀️ or those black sear sucker topped maxi dresses are sooo comfy for summer. Anything light weight and flowy that doesn’t stick to the body 💯

I wear pool cover-ups too, though I also added a knee-length leaf-shaped skirt to my swimsuit a few years ago and will sometimes wear that with an ankle-length skirt and a cover-up. It's weird how people don't recognize the pieces that make up an outfit, especially when you see those same people in the store a few times a week walking past those same items hanging on the rack right there lol.

I have like a dark boho grunge look. I like colors, but muted colors and earthy tones. I'm definitely simple ad I'm a mom of 3. I have about 15 different colors of the same v neck t-shirt and that's what I typically wear with high-waisted skinny jeans or leggings, and a pair of converse shoes. About half of my entire shoe inventory is converse.

I'm a tricky picky ghoul. I can't wear synthetic fabrics which are most of the pretty flowy things unfortunately. I'm mostly a t-shirt, jeans, and boots gal. No shorts either.
