I loved your 70’s inspired looks. When I lived through the 70’s, I was probably your age so your outfits definitely took me down memory lane. Your orange and white striped maxi dress reminded me of my favorite maxi dress from that period. It had orange and white gingham top with an Empire waistline and a long skirt that was blue paisley. It sounds so outrageous now but those styles were all the rage in those days.

Oh my goodness! Thank you so, so much for filming my request. I love that you used what you already had in your closet, however, after quarantine it would be neat to see you shop specifically for these "Inspired By" videos to see what you could do without being confined by your own closet. Outfit #3 was my favorite! Keep 'em coming, Emma! Great job and thank you again!

I was wondering where your wide leg cropped jeans are from? Love your videos so much!!xx

The brand is Massimo Dutti but I purchased these second hand from my local resale store. I have another pair from Madewell that are also second hand. They are my absolute favorite style of jeans!

I enjoyed your looks but gotta say I wouldn't have been caught dead in cropped pants in the 70s. Otherwise a great video.

To each his own 🤗 I love them and Jackie wears them a lot in That ‘70s Show so of course I had to include them!

You'll have to show me because in the 70s we all wore our pants long, just at the point where they were about to touch the ground. There were no cropped jeans and if your pants were a tiny bit short, you were laughed at since this was old fashioned like our mothers wore in the 50s. We called them "flood pants", lol. There was a short period when pants just below the knee were worn with tall boots. Maybe that's what you are referring to? Longer pants remained the standard for jeans and the younger generation from mid/late 60s all through the 1970s. The rise went from super low (late 60s into the early 70s) flares to super high waisted, wide legs (by the late 70s). If there was something different going on in a specific city, I wouldn't know about that, but in general, across North America, jeans on the young were never worn at the ankle or "cropped". The ankle was always fully covered and your jeans often got badly frayed hems from dragging on the ground.

I think you missed the point of the video. I don’t have exact styles from the 70’s. I was taking modern pieces that I currently have in my wardrobe that are “inspired” by the time period. I don’t have culottes and I don’t have full length wide leg jeans but I do have wide leg crops. Im sorry if these are not styles that you love or would wear but this was just meant to be a fun video. Thank you for your comment though!

@@DaisyGalStyling Not at all! Totally got the point of the video and thought you did a great job with it. I was simply responding to your comment that Jackie wore cropped pants in the show and I don't believe she did. Never said I don't like cropped pants now and didn't mean to sound like I had any problem with your video. Again, thought it was great and was just trying to make a joke about how cropped pants would have been laughed at back then. Hope I didn't offend. Was just enjoying chatting about the 70s fashions and didn't mean any criticism of your choices. Isn't it interesting how styles change over time? I really disliked the low rise pants of the past and am so glad to see so many higher waisted options available again now. Thanks again for your work and I look forward to your next video.
