I definitely like those driving lights mounted on the crash bars those look fantastic an extra light is always a big plus.

Nice mods, looks great. How does the MRA VarioScreen compare, in terms of wind noise and buffeting, to a 16" Givi screen?
@erikbreaman91245 жыл бұрын
I rode a 2010 CB 1100 all over the US before going back to dual sports. I never used any wind protection I just stopped off during rain and wore sleeves to avoid sun burn. I've never used a cruiser or touring bike and have been in almost every weather condition going at least hundreds of miles.. I also have a '76 750 that is basically the same ride.. I never got the hype with too-much-wind even a Goldwing you're going to be pulling off for strong winds and rain.. I'll go coast to coast on a 650 dual-sport and think nothing of it; it's not hard..

And, there are two sides to every coin. Riding my CB at 70 mph w/o a shield having the wind constantly pushing me wears on hands, arms, and back. With a small shield knocking all that wind off my torso makes the ride so much easier. Its night and day different. As to the goldwing having to pull over in the wind and rain, that's not accurate. The fixed front fairing on the wing cuts through the wind like a knife. Stable in any condition. Catch a test ride on one sometime and see what you think.

Looking to purchase 2013 with 400 miles. These were all things I wanted to tackle on the bike as well. I think that windscreen being modular is cool and effective! I believe I would be lightly touring this bike, but haven't ridden one yet.

They are around 10k.. A used one goes for 5500.. They are air cooled and carb can't much go wrong with them
@Evolution_Kills5 жыл бұрын
@@erikbreaman9124 They are most certainly not carbureted, the moden CB1100's are fuel injected. Still air and oil cooled like the older CB Nighthawks, but they did ditch the carbs.

@@Evolution_Kills The 2010 I had was CV carb... PGM-FI must of came later.
@Evolution_Kills5 жыл бұрын
@@erikbreaman9124 I'd love to know the model and region, cause everything I've been able to look up says that the 2010 models and on have all been PGM-FI 32mm fuel injected. My 2017 certainly is, and even photos of the 2010 show throttle bodies and not carbs attached to the engine. They look nothing like the quad-carbs on my old CB750 Nighthawk (which I took apart and rebuilt, so I'm pretty familiar with them).

@@Evolution_Kills I never looked at another 2010-2017 up close and was second owner of mine; had lots of 70s and 80s bikes. It was auto-choke CV carb though.

I have the 2013 CB1100 and I am a short rider (5'5") with only 29 inch inseem. I can ride it, but my feet aren't down flat at a stop light. I can balance it upright no problem. Only problem I have ever had was when I am going perpendicular to a hill and the bike starts leaning to the down-side of the hill. My legs don't reach because of the extra drop-off of the hill and I go down. This happened 2 or 3 times when I was in my backyard and it was muddy.
@stevenrobinson50358 ай бұрын
If you need to load up a retro bike with all that garbage? you bought the wrong bike. The only thing I fitted to my CB1100 was a period, chrome luggage rack. If I'm on a long trip, or camping? Throw over soft luggage or roll bags. The whole point of these bikes is the aesthetic and the feel. You lose all of that when you bolt on screens, bars, lights and modern luggage

Tank bags = scratched up tank.
@twistedthrottle4 жыл бұрын
We hear that, sometimes. If it is a concern for you, but you would like the space to stash a few things, a tank bag that connects via a tank ring sits just above the tank, not resting on it. Check out the SW Motech EVO line of bags --> twistedthrottle.com/shop/?swoof=1&product_brands=sw-motech&product_cat=tank-bags-accessories

You made the bike ugly. That thing on the tank? FLAT BLACK engine guards?
@BazzerObama3 жыл бұрын
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...........personally I think you ruined a beautiful naked bike with some very ugly accessories, the screen is an abomination and those engine bars in black are awful, I could understand it if they were chrome. It’s ‘nil point’ from me I’m afraid.

I want a seat that extends over the back fender a little and has a sissy bar to strap that bag to. And yes, the bag, too. For my purse...lol.
