Had to hang up my skates after January and fractured elbow, locked bearing and being 50 can’t be out of work like that again. Can still live it through your videos, keep up the awesome job !!

I guy crashed into me when I was 9 at the rink. My wrist got sprained and swelled up it kind of ruined my night. But he felt so bad he kept apologizing and he bought me all kinds of snacks and drinks. There are soo many little kids at my rink now I’m to scared to rly skate around them. They should give the rly good skaters some time in the rink to themselves to show off and inspire other skaters to want to get better.
@rollerkingonce3 жыл бұрын
I'm so sorry to hear that. You are right about allotted time.
@angelam.89393 жыл бұрын
💯 you are right. that’s why there are 21 and over skates. Skaters at their own risk those times. I’m an advanced boogie skater and even I don’t mess w those skates 🚷. I like to watch but yeah guys like this should really avoid this style of skating in crowds - but I think that’s why they do it - the thrill of barely getting by, and isn’t that why ppl watch? 😆🤪
@primrosedeluna3 жыл бұрын
@@angelam.8939 and they know how to navigate through the crowd usually. But I know there are moments that they give more experienced skaters time to do their thing and the other skaters have to vacate the floor for about 10-15 mins. It is a little scary for someone who isn’t so advanced (myself) so I try to stay towards the middle and only “speed” or weave through when I’ve built up my confidence through the session. Even then, I’m not doing half of what he was 😂 wish I could though!

LOL. yes. Me too. newbies.
@primrosedeluna3 жыл бұрын
Right! Aren’t they supposed to be closer to the middle? At least that’s what I’ve learned and experiences with “rink etiquette”. Outer circle- fast/advanced. Inner circle- slower/possible newbies. Middle- practice/jam/standing. I do think newbies should be able to be on the outer/wall just for stability but they do stand the chance of being knocked over if someone is really flowing.
