Outlander - A Time for Us

For me Outlander's love story has so much in common with Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet, I could not resist making a video with the theme song " A Time For Us".
In both these love stories you can see how the power of Love manages to always shine through even the most tragic circumstances.
Unfortunately, in this video I mistakenly credited Loreena McKennit as the artist singing "A Time For Us", when actually it was Barratt Waugh. This is a mistake that many music channels have made on KZbin because the two voices of Loreena McKennit and Barratt Waugh are so similar. I would like to formally correct that mistake and give Barratt Waugh the credit he deserves as the artist who sang "A Time For Us".

Well OUTLANDER has won the best of awards: that of we the audience, the fans, loyal to its magic to the point of watching it over and over again as opposed to moving on to the typical HOLYWOOD’s lack of such classy cast. Specially this formidable couple of Sam and Cait!

Yes OUTLANDER is definitely one of the best TV series that I’ve ever seen. It has won my heart forever. I could watch it over and over again and never get tired of it. The typical Hollywood TV series with the lack of class and awesome cast just doesn’t compare in any way. Sam and Cait should get every award possible and be recognized for their talent and amazing performances.

You can find out what's happening with the cast from Outlander by checking out Outlander TV news and subscribing to the Outlander newsletter. Information on where they will be appearing next would probably be available through either of those sources. You could also try any of the online Outlander websites. The cast of Outlander usually attends a media event held at different locations to promote whenever the new season of Outlander is about to begin. The next one would be for season 8... which is being delayed because of the writer's strike in Hollywood. Let's hope that the writer's strike is resolved pretty soon. Good Luck ☺️

I'm sure he has a bright future a head of him. He's young and has so much potential and is such a great actor, he knows how to act through expressions, and just the way he looks at Claire, his gestures say so much. The best actors do most of their acting non-verbally, before they utter a word you know what their thinking, you understand what their communicating. Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are both geniuses at doing non verbal communications, that's why they work so well together. Jamie brings Claire to life, and Claire manages to bring the best out in Jamie.

Thank you for this video. When I was 5 in 1974, my eldest brother, his wife, 2 year old son and 6 month old daughter died in a horrific car crash. This was he and his wife's song. I am 51 now, and this is the first time I have heard this song without it ripping my heart out. Instead it was feeling the song was supposed to evoke.

My husband too in the Army and went on Temporary Duty assignments when he got home we didn’t get out of bed we were in our 20s I don’t think I would have made it 20 years when Jamie and Claire went to bed the first time when she came back after being gone for 20 years and Claire looked up at Jamie while pulling him into bed “don’t be gentle!!!” I just let out a big YES!!!! I was such a big fan of Romeo & Juliet and West Side Story, but, they really cannot compare to the electricity that exists between Jamie & Claire's love for each other. Stunning! I remember when Romeo and Juliet was first shown on the big screen. I play piano and I bought this score in the lobby of the movie theater. I played and played this song never dreaming it should/could work for any other couple except Romeo and Juliet. I was so wrong! Some 52 years later.....imagine.....this song has stood the test of time and now is the perfect song for Jamie and Claire and the love of a lifetime! Their love was doomed just like Romeo and Juliet. I wonder how Jamie survived Culloden? There are so many love songs that compliment Jamie and Claire's love story, but , I thought the theme from Romeo and Juliet's tragic love story came the closest to what Jamie and Claire were experiencing. The Outlander series has really brought to light how the English destroyed the Scottish highlanders way of life by killing and pulling apart their families. Jamie and Claire's story places us right in the middle of the heart of this tragedy.

I just started watching Outlander a few months ago and fell in love with the story, but, I could tell they were headed for a tragic ending, like Romeo & Juliet. I binged watch Series 1 to 3, then 4 came out, my favourite series from Jamaica to the America'n colonys' the indian tribes and River Run episodes were epic, Cried my eyes out!! series 5 was dark and augmented to that time period, from the acting to the love of costumes, was spot on...Now almost finished series 6 book, i can't wait until its played out, but a little confusion of movie from book at this time, what was played in series 5 is said in book 6.🤔 but my love for this epic story i can overlook minor descripencies.🙃

@@sandrapasquarella674 Unchained Melody would also be good if you could find a slower version than the original, Righteous Brothers. Also, I thought to be clever and spice things up a bit, Good Vibrations by Brian Wilson/The Beach Boys, could be fun. 😃.
