Give me a break! Wait, Claire is to go to Philadelphia to save someone who get shot in the stomacch and has only a few days to live. Are there jet aircraft in 1778? I mean, doesn’t it take about amonth to sail across the ocean from Scotland to American and that would mean that it took another month for the letter from Sir John to get to Claire. And what’s with the new actress playing Jamie’s sister. She not only doesn’t look anything like Jamie’s sister, she has pure black hair (a wig?) while her husband, Ian is gray haired. On top of that she takes young Ian to the graveyard where she’s had a headstone placed of young Ian’s dead daughter and tells him he can come there any time and tak to the daughter. It's an empty grave! This is the worst episode I’ve every seen after watching 7 seasons of this show. What a disappointment. Who wes the idiot who wrote this script? An idiot? And on top of all of this, we have now got to follow Claire and young Ian going to Philadelphia, Jamie staying home with his sister, Roger looking for Jemmy in a different time period, Bree coping with being at home alone while taking care of Mandy. It’s ridiculous. This episode surely ruined the entire show for me.

This plot is right out of the book, so the author is the writer. I was hoping the show would’ve decided to skip it altogether, but here we are. I’m in agreement with your take on it.

Yeah it's silly that Claire has to back to the Americas to save a stranger. Ian going back makes sense but he could have stayed a bit longer with his parents, despite them telling him it's okay to leave. And as for the Jenny actress switch I would guess the OG Jenny actress was busy on another project. We'll just to be patient with script for part 2 of season 7, remember there was the whole writers and actors strike. So taking things from the actual books (even if it doesnt make sense) to fill up the episode/s is what they had to do

Geillis Duncan, Buck's mother. She was born in the 20th century, time-traveled on purpose, had an affair with Dougal MacKenzie to change Scottland history. And gave birth Buck.
