The 2019 'Highland Rising' living history re-enactment event at Baile Gean in summer 2019. This location is, a 1700s township set within the Highland Folk Museum at Newtonmore in Scotland, which was used as a set to film parts of the popular Outlander TV series.
Members of Alan Breck's Volunteer Prestonpans Regiment were there on a training weekend, as both the Redcoats (The Edinburgh City Guard) and the Scottish Jacobites, entertaining visitors with a living history performance explaining the lives of Scottish Highlanders in the early 1700s.
This group of volunteers are a battle re-enactment society founded to promote wider interest in the 1745 Jacobite Rising, and to support the work of the Prestonpans 1745 Heritage Trust. Members include both Jacobites and the Redcoats of the Edinburgh City Guard.
