Outlast's Insane Difficulty is Completely PSYCHOTIC

This Achievement in Outlast is Insane, and it requires beating the game without getting scared. It's actually called Energizer, and it requires beating the whole game on Insane, without the ability to see. Talk about a fun achievement! I hate when games let me see the game.

i was playing this game as a kid, my friend recommended it i was stuck on that richard level after he cuts your fingers but meanwhile i mastered this game so much i finished it like 20 and some times that i literally started to play this game when i was bored like speedrunning using door glitches to make it on time and even roleplaying lol. Game is very good i recommend it i still didnt finished DLC on insane but il give it a try!

I almost had this achievement like 8 or so years ago. No battery changes or hiding in lockers. I was in college playing and my brother had some friends over, it turned into me doing the run in front of like 15 or 20 people. So much fun. Got to the part where you lose the camera, and our power went out. This hurts to type, I couldn’t play this after that, still not over it.

Me too, i didnt platinum Outlast 2 for almost a year, i played it so many times, and lost my nerves, because that giant that shots arrows is realy only reason it took me so long, that part is so rng. There is no strategy they one shot you and its random will arrow hit or not. Its almost luck based.. every other part i had strategy that worked so well

Note; the energizer achievement is exclusive to the xbox version, if you played on pc or playstation the hardest achievement would have been just beating the game on insane difficulty

Well, I mean... there's a speedrun tech that allows you to skip almost the entire game by clipping through some corner outside of the building early on and fall into one of the last rooms of the game. I think that could've made this significantly easier if you know how to pull if off :P (Yeah, I know that would be missing the point of this challenge)

Even when your camera battery runs out, you still have a weaker version of the nightvision that costs no battery. It's been a while since I played, but I remember using that a lot during my playthrough, because on higher difficulties, I was afraid I'd run out of batteries when I most needed them. I remember I got a lot of mileage out of that and I think I only recharged because I found more batteries than I could carry. Couldn't you still use that for the achievement?

I think you just can't reload the batteries to get the achievement. So as long as it doesn't auto reload then that would probably be fine? I'm not sure since I didn't test it haha
