I got to see the Outlaws 4 separate times! All during the 80’s and all with Molly Hatchet! One time a band called Stranger opened and it was glorious! I miss those days more and more with all the crap of today!

I read that he and his wife had just come home after having gone out to eat, and Hughie sat down in his easy chair to watch the tube. His wife found him there, heart failure. He was 55.

They are good, many others have sung this song just as good but this a soft version of the song, I like it much harder like it should be, for what the song was written about, hard chasing and riding.

Hughie Thomasson would have been 71 years old this year if his heart hadn’t quit on him. I just got through watching a video of the Outlaws led by Henry Paul from 2022. Let me just say, there is a light years’ bit of difference between the 2007 gig and the 2022 gig. In other words, I wish Hughie was still alive. Try as Henry Paul might, he just doesn’t pack the gear to sing “Ghost Riders”; he should let one of the other band members do that. Just saying.

Saw them at the Wolf Den at Mohegan Sun Casino not long before he passed away.The Outlaws were on my bucket list and I'm glad I got to see them when Hughie was still alive. Though they are still touring without him, The sound isn't quite the same without him!!!!! I know that the guys are trying to keep the legacy alive. I saw them at a Fair in North Eastern Connecticut in 2011and they were just OK. Carry on Outlaws, carry on!

Legend Valley , Ohio... July 3, 1979. The Outlaws... I was there... so was blotter acid... best gigs ever with 4 other bands. The Allman Bros played for 4 hrs.

love sourthern rock. but just listening to this makes you realize how good the Atlanta rhythm section really was. the outlaws are fantastic. but no comparison to ARS. Ronnie van zant was spot on. when he said that ARS was the best southern rock band

Outstanding song, one of the best ever. Too bad it's one of the poorest quality recordings of such great material. And, clearly since there are cuts in the camera POV, there was some editing.

That's what I use, Two on sticks, one handheld and one robotic. I switch live, just like on TV, It should be obvious. :-)

I was at the club house these guy used to hang @ back when they hung there imagine that, and the house is still there I believe with the same chine link fence they had around the place. They (the outlaws) were some of the coolest people I ever met (when I was 15-16)
