It's amazing the respect these guys have for the mountains. That's something we could all do a little better. Appreciate them. Experience them. Respect them.

I continue to struggle to find the words to express why I have moved to fast and light in the mountains to other individuals. In the end, I just point them to this video as it does a far better job of explaining than I could ever do. Bravo Salomon!

So true what he said- people today are so busy taking photos with their smartphones instead of taking in the surroundings and the moment.

6:14 Truth. Trying to reach my personal limits, even if they aren't elite, are part of what gives my life meaning. It also keeps me mentally facing outward of the same-shit-different-day grind of a 9-to-5. Training my body and then getting out into the hills and the mountains during holidays and on long weekends is one of my reasons for living. I want to go to France again next year and run in the Pyrenees.

I do the same thing in Arizona, a smaller scale than the Alps. Sedona is my dojo, Grand Canyon is one of the big places to practice movement. Let me know if you would like to experience it. #plateaucamp
