Thank you so much for this! I use LT cast-on a LOT, and I've always been frustrated that my bind-off doesn't match. Now it will! I'm knitting a poncho right now and will use this bind-off.

There's an even easier way to achieve this same result. You can find it in this video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKexkqJndtiorMU

Is the outline bind off stretchy? I'm doing a sock tube, with afterthought everything, and the rib on one end was cast on with long tail and I'd like the cast off on the other end to look similar. But it will need to be stretchy. Would this one work, in your opinion?

Hi Roxanne! I just wanted to tell you that your videos are great and that I've learned a lot from them. I was wondering if you could tell us more about the master program in knitting in one of your casual friday videos. I'm really curious about it!

There's a playlist of all my Casual Friday videos on my channel. One of the early videos talked quite a bit about the TKGA's master hand knitting program as well as CYC's certified instructor/teacher program. It's probably January or February of this year.

Thanks for another wonderful video. Do you know a bind off to match the Old Norwegian/German twisted cast on? Can this one be done in pattern?
@RoxanneRichardson5 жыл бұрын
There's probably a way to add additional twist to the outline stitch bind off, to make it match the German twisted CO, but I haven't worked it out. The problem with trying to do the outline stitch BO in pattern is that the edge is worked in the opposite direction of the CO edge (and therefore, the opposite direction of the rest of the knitting), so it's 1/2 stitch off. You wouldn't be able to line up the BO with the sts.

How would a leftie do this? I'll try it right handed and see how well I do. Your videos are so helpful and well done.

I would try one of two things. If you're knitting flat, work a WS row, then turn the work so the RS is facing and work right to left across the row. If working in the round, work right to left across the sts, rather than left to right.

Does this match the German Twisted cast on in 2 x 2 ribbing? I'm finding it very difficult to find a matching bind off look and stretch for my headband. Thank you for any advice in advance Roxanne!
@RoxanneRichardson3 жыл бұрын
I don't know of any bind off that matches the German TWisted bind off. Most cast on methods do not have a matching bind off. There are a handful of CO/BO matches, but that's it.

Hi Roxanne, I need your help. I'm going to knit a baby blanket with a US seed stitch border. What cast on and bind off would you suggest? Baci

Does it match the reverse side as well?

Yes.

Sadly, it didn’t work with ribbing......it fanned out too much.......even tried working right to left but got the same result. Works great for stockinette though.

Yes, I stated that in the video, and put it on the screen, as well.
