If you’re having light bulb moments watching Guthrie’s videos... BOOK A PRIVATE SKYPE LESSON if you can... you will not regret it. I had one last year as a birthday gift from my brothers, recorded the lesson and I’m still learning from it almost a year on! You will not regret it. Hopefully book another one when Guthrie’s back from Africa. I’ve been playing guitar for over 15 years and only since paying attention to what GT is saying have I noticed a huge step up in my playing. Book a lesson... you won’t regret it!

@@guthrietrappmusic honest question, and I'm no way trying to give you the gears here (written word can sometimes be hard to discern tone), why do you think so many people (and this is prolific with guitar videos) take several minutes, with filler content, before getting to the listed material? You're in the KZbin game, so I'm asking if there's a method to the madness. And thanks for responding to the initial comment, even though it's all salt and no sugar.

Im confused. You say your focusing on the major 3rd but you also mentioned the minor pentatonic. But doesnt that make it major pentatonic if the major 3rd is in there? Or are you saying your mixing major minor? Or should I focus only on chord tones and not think about pentatonics.

Minor blues,Minor pentatonic scale and CAGED system. Can we have a video on just that.Minor pentatonic combined with chord shapes. Verse:Am7-Dm7-Em7 ......Chorus: C5-G5-Am7, F5-G5-E7! How to sound or play melodic like you, and bluesy . Thanks for all videos. You are my favorite player . Great sound, melodic-soulful playing . I never thought in milion years i would understand Basic Theory and understand this stuff in 9-10month. .All i know from before was Barre chords and open chords. but with a daily practice rutine jump of understanding and seeing shpes was huge. it world apart Like i was blind before , new horizon open for me .sry for my broken english..
