I was never apart of the people who thought her acension ruined the showed or whatever. If they did file down pretty much all the edges to her character. Twilight because always calm and pretty much always right. If Twilight said something or held a position on an issue, 19 times out of 20 she was completely in the right. She kept her booking loving nerdiness but that’s about it.

As a lifelong MLP fan (Thanks VHS tapes of G1 and G3), I will never get over the horrific can of worms they opened by taking the friendship theme and proceeding to make only one friend immortal and leaving the rest of them to visibly grow old and presumably die as the remaining one watches in eternal helplessness. And I'm all here for the fan material to come out of it. It's an amazing and horrible thing they've done to purple horse.

Yeah, there are a bunch of really messed up themes in MLP that kinda gets glossed over. Especially if you consider that Twilight didn't necessarily agree to becoming, you know, immortal. In your other comment, you mentioned the song Your New Home. I thought this entire sequence was really fitting for Twilight because in The Amazing Digital Circus, this song and the zooming in camera sequence plays when Pomni, the main character, realizes that despite her best efforts, she is really trapped in the virtual world, and against her will, the virtual world is her new home. I thought there was (maybe?) a parallel to Twilight, who will outlive her friends, and be stuck immortal forever.

You may need to export the cadence model to blender or whichever editor you prefer and edit the UVs or split the eyes into 2 meshes. I've had to do stuff like that before. Splitting the mesh is more of a bandage solution, though.

@@KawaiiFireMoon True, but you would be surprised how many people would disagree with you, I seen fanfictions, people typing stories and I've already read over 210, and one of the most popular concepts among the fanfictions is Twilight being immortal and outliving her friends, atleast in 90-99% of stories after Twilight loses her friends, she either becomes evil or commits suicide. That's basically what people are making stories of with Twilight being immortal, I hate it as I find it unrealistic as someone would act in such a way after losing there friends but it's basically there opinion being typed in hundreds or thousands of stories that people keep making. Honestly if you do want to be happy while being immortal, it's probably best to have a friend who is also immortal, that way you will truly never be alone.

Even though Twilight would outlive her friends, Deep down she knows that they wouldn't want her to spend the rest of her life grieving over them. In fact I'd like to think that Twilight's friends dying wish for Twilight woud be for her to continue to make friends that way she will never be alone, But none of the new friends Twilight would make would ever take her old friends place in her heart.

I kinda thought something similar when making this video. Except she accepts the fact she'll never make friends as good as her old ones, and is grateful she still has Cadence and Flurry as constants in her life, and that Celestia and Luna aren't completely gone. That's why I made her shake her head and smile faintly as the camera pans away, because it's not all doom and gloom from her point of view. There's more to forever than being caught up on her friends deaths, like the two royal guards hugging in the background, or the fact that Starlight Glimmer is once again screwing with time.

@eexpressohyena9337 Man if Spike can be alive in G5 as a dragon then they should definitely give Twilight a shocking comeback, being that she is as an alicorn so has an extended lifespan. What if Twilight lost her power as ruler and her plans were overthrown due to no longer having her best friends and the elements of harmony around her. What if she decided to give up on uniting Equestria and hid away in a desolate place. If Opaline was born around the time of Celestia and Luna and is still around then it is possible that Twilight is still alive, maybe she ran away to live in another country and is in hiding to avoid Opaline as well and her evil plans, given that she despises Twilight. Oooh then the new heroes could bring her out of hiding! Don't tell me that wouldn't''t be an exciting twist! But I'm waiting for someone to tell me this could not happen for some reason and break my idea down.

What is sad about this is that twilight will be all alone , spike will probably be gone too , cadence and flurry heart can’t visit as much because they have their own royal duties in another kingdom , and I don’t know if Celestia and Luna are still immortal or not , and is not like twilight can get married because that’s not what she represents, ponies she knew would be gone,and even if the mane 5 had children, they would forget her too and so on and so forth . Nice animation! I have it worse I think because I have problems with the graphics in my animations and also with the export. How do you make it? I have to record it in OBS and crop it, which loses a lot of quality even in 4K rendering, and when I export it in the program as AVI it just doesn't work and I don't know what to do. I would be very grateful if you know the solution.

What I do is set SFM's launch properties in steam to this: "-sfm_resolution 2160 -w 3840 -h 2160" BUT! Don't do that when just setting up the animations, as it's extremely laggy, even for my decent-spec'd pc. Then, when exporting, export the SFM as an image sequence. This will give you a single image for every single frame, and you'll have to import each frame into an editing software like Davinci Resolve, turn each image into 1 frame, and then make sure the Davinci Resolve Timeline is also running at whatever you animated in SFM at. In Davinci Resolve is where I add music, sound effects, whatnots. Just to warn you: this entire process is laggy, and things will take a long, long time to do. Exporting any scene in this video took me like two hours. And don't have OBS or any other games or graphic intensive apps open, as it will screw with your final product and make the frames alternate colors. Hope that helps

The writers of the show said that Twilight _won’t_ outlive her friends My theory is that only natural born alicorns are immortal, so Twilight and Cadence (Cadence was originally just a Pegasus according to the comics, no idea how canon those are supposed to be) will grow old and die, but Flurry Heart should still be alive and kicking during the time of G5

On the episode when we're first introduced to Flurry Heart, Celestia mentions how a pony being born as an alicorn is something that had never happened before, meaning that both her and Luna used to be regular ponys in the past, and they are pretty clearly inmortal personally, I'm pretty sure that decision about twilight not outliving her friends was just changed. the writters also originally said that Scootaloo was simply a late bloomer, and would eventually fly, but by the end of the show is pretty clear that's not the case and her wings really are permanently underdeveloped. the coment about twilight was made relatively early after she became an alicorn, so there was more than enough time for them to change their minds

My theory is that it is actually the power of the sun and moon that Celestia and Luna had. But they gave those to Twilight when they fused their crowns, Jim Miller confirmed it, a book said raising the sun and moon rejuvenated them, and someone on the show once said they merely possess immense magic power that 50 years is equal to one for them. Sources might be a little varied but I choose to believe that Celestia and Luna died a few years after stepping down to pass to the afterlife and be with their friends from long ago. Then Twilight is training a successor in Luster Dawn and will pass on the power as well. Cadance and Flurry don't have the immense magic power so they don't have to worry, though I had Cadance along with Shining get assassinated by a monster created by the real Grogar in my headcanon fanfic I made. It was my way of explaining why Flurry is apparently ruler of the Crystal Empire in the Last Problem.

Well Cxcd congrats on a popular video I should is a polite way to start. I personally don't like the whole Twilight outlives her friends thing. I figured out a way around it back when the finale aired. The way I saw things, Twilight was training Luster Dawn to be her successor so she could give up her immortality to die with her friends. I have a bit of a different headcanon then the whole alicorn thing. I believe from things I've found on the MLP wiki such as a book called the journal of the two sisters stating that raising the sun and moon rejuvenated Celestia and Luna as well as the fact they were confirmed by Jim Miller to give the powers to raise those to Twilight when they fused their crowns in the coronation, that those powers are the source of their immortality. That means they will eventually pass on, possibly age rapidly and by the time of the Last Problem are gone. So if that is true and Twilight gives up that power to Luster Dawn, she will catch up with her friends age-wise and die with them.
