15 years between myself and my husband, I met him when I was 24 and he was 40. I just turned 50 last month and we are still going strong! As I am getting older it is interesting to see where our relationship has grown and changed through all of the highs and lows. You guys are classy and remind myself very much of my own relationship! Keep it classy guys the way you always do!!

Im 63. My boyfriend is 26. We’ve been dating since he was 18. I refused to have sex with and we fought about it a lot. By the time he was 19, I gave in, because it was clear after a year of his persistence that he was serious. Honestly, I never expected the relationship to last this long, 8 years. And he still swears he loves me more each day. He so mature for his age.

Sorry but that is too creepy for comfort. 55 vs 18...18 who just took of his training wheels and stepped into adult hood. 63 and 26 doesn't sound bad but that whoever went after whoever when one 55 and other 18...too close for comfort.

I feel like the show was out to get shock value and put the questions in that order for the algorithm watchtime at the detriment of giving a deep dive into the topic fairly and sensitively. There were so many better insightful questions to ask that could make for more emotional, personal and personable answers that it could have made the show feel less tacky and slightly disrespectful to couples. I guess controversy and shock doesnt always bring in the views though. You both made the most relationshipy answers and offered great insights for the outside world that you operate just like every other healthy relationship. For that be proud and well done for being brave. Comment sections are brutal, their ignorance often stops after they press send.

The only regret I have in life is not having children with my partner of 43 years. In fairness, back then it was extremely rare for gay guys to adopt unless one was the natural father. Also, until the day he died (and especially when he was in a wheelchair), I was always asked if he was my father. It felt like a double coming out each time. Despite the obvious ageist attitudes of many, I am grateful that times are changing and that is largely thanks to guys like you two.

I just found and subscribed to your channel. I follow some other couples that have an age gap. I’m 67 and my guy is 43. He is my first relationship with a guy after nearly 50 years with my late wife. I have kids and grandkids. I never imagined that I would find love again, especially with a man. I respect and appreciate your commitment to each other. I am interested to know everything you both can share about a same sex relationship, especially with a large age gap. My man is currently deployed and that has its own set of challenges. Thanks for being a great example to an older guy in his first gay relationship.

Well, that’s pretty incredible no matter what age you never know when you will find love and who it’s going to be with. Same-sex relationships have the same challenges as any other relationship, communication is key honesty is key. But you know all that you were in a long-term relationship before it just happened to be with a woman. Key West has this great antra we are one human family, so Jon and I both kind of live by that, now being in an age gap relationship has its own unique challenges as well but we take those one day at a time. Shoot us an email if you would like to communicate even more, OutLoudjb@gmail.com.

Being the older guy in a 33 year gap relationship I get your frustration in the show's short sighted approach. Sometimes two people just compliment each other and age has no significant influence on that connection. Kinks and sex and kids and so many of the *ideal* relationship issues that society burdens couples with are just not relevant to the success of a relationship. If two people are willing to be open, honest and committed in how to move forward most *barriers* can be overcome. My partner and I love each other and that is the major component of our relationship. We nurture each other, we worship each other , we accept each others love without question. We are honest and we TRUST. All the age related stuff is just not a barrier to that. Age differences do bring some practical issues but they are very manageable when love is the motivator. Age is just not a barrier for us. We accept each other for who we are and what we offer each other. We are committed to each other, through love and acceptance, as humans. That unto itself is far ahead of many relationships that are deemed as *age appropriate*.

I just rewatched the Jubilee show, and I have to say that I loved the honesty of my favorite age gap couple. There were no surprises from your answers. No to mention that you exhibited the same challenges as a straight couple. Personally, I understand Jon's concerns about starting a family. I get it because I had the same thoughts myself and never had any children from our current 24-year relationship. It's the what if something happens and I am left raising this child on my own. Could I do it? Would it be fair to the child? Plus, we live in Florida. However, as I get older, I do think that we would have been great fathers and would have enjoyed that life as well. I think we may have missed out on some wonderful times. It is a hard decision to contemplate. However, I think you both would be GREAT dads!

I'm 20 and my boyfriend is 32, we're sharing a very big love to each other even it's a distance relationship but this is all temporary and we're planning as soon as possible to settle up together, I'm still studying and he's already employed and I never felt that age gap is gonna affect our love to each other, when you love someone you do make the best to keep the flame of your love on, so basically ages are just numbers we see many younge men that are more way mature then many old men, so life is about experiencing so you better try your luck and see what could be hidden for you .

something that's important to remember is that most people you see on the internet (especially in youtube comment sections) who are dishing out these strong opinions on relationships (especially other people's relationships) oftentimes don't have much experience to speak from themselves. and as you mentioned in this video, it's easy for them to type stuff anonymously behind their screens when there are no repercussions. so those two things i think are why there were a lot of rude and negative comments on the video. it also is really a shame how the video was created altogether. they really were giving people fuel, as another commenter suggested, whether they meant to or not. there absolutely ARE conversations to be had about what problems can arise (and how they arise) in age gap relationships - unfortunately, videos like this one that only scratch the surface, and then continue to ask very unserious and sort of demeaning questions don't do those conversations any justice. and frankly, they only serve to spread more hate. i love you guys - you're great people. i hope you don't let the negative comments get to you.

You guys did great, but I understand your feelings and opinions on the video. It was at times, very sexually forward. In our world of people being on the edge of responding critically and not always positive, know that you did great. Always be aware of what you are being represented by and what is your trademark. Ask questions and shine like you always do. You are wonderful men, who are human with caring hearts about the community. Rise above and use this as a learning experience. Love & friendship from me.

I personally applaud your visibility and your efforts to represent the age gap community. I have a different view about the way to handle feedback. It starts with having an unshakable determination and confidence that nobody outside the relationship has any power to disturb it whatsoever. You don't need approval from anyone. Positive feedback is coming from people who have the mental capacity and emotional stability to understand what may be relatable, or what may seem different. In either case, it's great when you connect with people who are capable of appreciating your authentic selves and the true love that you share together. Where I differ from you is, that negative feedback isn't your failure, it's success on the other side of the coin, because the negatives are exposing their own failures. If your truth is triggering them to be upset, that's a victory. I enjoy upsetting those people. I like seeing them squirming and seething with resentment. There ain't a damn thing they can do about it. I'm thrilled when that happens. Our purpose in life isn't to please everyone. Give pleasure to people who are worthy of it. Deprive the chronic malcontents of the pleasure of upsetting you. Turn the tables on them by taking your pleasure from pissing them off. IMO, that's how you should be living your life "Out Loud".

The problem with that video was the hyper focus on sex. Of course, I get why Jubilee did it. They are a sleazy shock value channel, so this is what they often do. Sadly, this format diminished everyone involved. I'm not a prude by any means, but it irks me that queer men in particular are often presented by media as over-sexed degenerates.

This wouldn't even be a second thought to most people if the older partner was male and the younger partner was female. The gender bias is real. I even have family that encouraged their daughter to look for older, established men to mirror their age gap (my aunt is 50 something and her husband is 71).

Dating in this gay environment is so difficult. I don't think it's the person you date that makes it so tough, it's more of the friends and gay people around. The gay environment can be so toxic sometimes. I live in Lexington, KY, so maybe it's this area that makes it so tough.

I had to come back here and maybe get a poll. Overnight, this video has been constantly on my mind. How many people heard about bad or disgusting comments about straight couples. Young women getting married to and having babies with 60 and 70 year old men. Sure, I’ve seen heads turn. But never saw or heard bad or “disgusting” comments about straight age-gap couples. Why is gay different and why do people always think it’s about money. Sugar daddies rarely live with their young men of choice. And yes, for money, hence the super extra shopping and expensive gift. Jon, the Physician Assistant and BIG pay day, never received his Rolex that we know about. In fact, Jon buys his own clothes and watches.
