The late, great Jake D’Arcy playing Mac. Known to fans of Still Game as Pete the jakey. Or as Fud O’Donnell, the bass player of The Majestics in Tutti Frutti. Or Phil Menzies, the PE teacher in Gregory’s Girl. Or, …you get the picture, he was a well-loved actor from Scotland who started performing on TV in 1970 and sadly passed away in 2015.

"Some people thought we just turned up with cameras and let the kids make it up, but we had a complete, polished script that we worked hard on - we just didn’t show it to them. The improvised scenes were always with no pressure, and written so that if they didn’t work, they could just come straight out." It's Andy's voice here, not the childs
