Wow, very complimentary review, thanks Luke. If it helps you to make a mag release extension we left a little hole in the part which is sized for self tapping screws to help sleeve the part with a 3D print instead of having to open it up and replace the entire piece. Also, FYI the rollers on the priming mechanism are the same size as 3mm ID x 10mm OD x 4mm wide ball bearings. They're a nice little upgrade to the priming. Can't wait to see your stock / pistol grip.

Alternate Grip + Stock Options? I know its compatible with AR-15 and Airsoft parts but it would be Nice if Gameface themselves released non-thumbhole grip+stock variations. -mainly because using an AR-15 grip requires threading a 1/4" Bolt into PLASTIC, and I don't feel comfortable about that long term -if the Trion had used a metal captive nut for this area I'd feel better about it, but as is I'd rather just see a dedicated grip from GF themselves using clamshell construction
@blasterface22 Жыл бұрын
We’ll have 3D printed part downloads on the website soon. I’ve been running a magpul MOE grip on my personal Trion for almost a year now, no issues. We went thumb hole to try to get the silhouette away from a “real firearm” out of the box at least.
@adriansue8955 Жыл бұрын
@@blasterface22 I've also noted, that when bolting an AR grip to the Trion, since the bolt hole is actually attached to the right side of the shell only; tightening the bolt will cause the two halves of the shell to missalign from uneven pressure. With the grip then slightly canting to one side. -another factor in why I'd like to see Trion-specific clamshell type grip replacements. Though I am skeptical that 3d printing can handle the thin yet strong walled parts need for a clamshell. This kind of thing needs injection molding.

I definitely don't need any more 200 FPS springers, have too many already. If it can be modded to consistently hit 250 (with scar and dart pool darts) I might consider it, but the Harrier's probably the better option at that point.

I've had problems with mine. First the inside of the barrel was scratched up and damaging darts so I had to switch out the barrel and then last weekend at a war the actual slide for the pump broke instead of pushing backwards it bends down. I've loved it when it's worked but I've been very unhappy with the quality control
@blasterface22 Жыл бұрын
That sucks. Call or email customer support and they can send you a replacement. With a mass produced product there's always a certain % of returns/bad units. Sending it back will help us find problems and improve. We've had a very low return rate so far so sending even one unit back helps us a lot. Scratched barrels is a new thing, and can probably be solved with part handling / cleanliness improvements. FYI I left a comment previously but KZbin took it down, I think because I listed the customer support phone number. It's on the Game Face Blasters website under "returns".

@blasterface22 Жыл бұрын
@@timshooter8033 Sweet. Most of the customer issues we've dealt with have been not racking it hard enough, not getting the pump grip back all the way, and also.... this is a weird one... hooking your trigger finger around the trigger and pulling it hard to the side while firing. Anything we can improve in the product we do, but sometimes you gotta get the customer to really rack it hard and pull that trigger cleanly with the pad of your finger like a sniper!

@@adriansue8955 Ah I see. @tyler9463 Жыл бұрын
I personally dont think a replacement would fix that issue tbh, i love my blaster but I do feel that the piece between the trigger and the plunger catch is too sensitive when bumped and it can make the blaster go off, I replaced the trigger spring with a stronger one and it made it harder for it to happen but it is still possible to bump fire, thx you tho
@blasterface22 Жыл бұрын
@@tyler9463 As the designer I can say pretty confidently that a replacement will fix your issue. We could talk about the chemistry of Delrin and so on but we've found I think 2 returns with your issue. It's a part that the factory is sometimes molding too hot and the plastic is not crystalizing properly. Your secondary sear support is probably warped slightly, which reduces the purchase it has on the main sear, meaning that a shock can cause an inertial firing. It was something we found and solved during the design process but it crept back up in sample parts from the injection mold. A Trion with a part that is molded properly can be dropped from 3ft on a hard surface and it doesn't fire and it's impossible for human hands to bump fire it. It would actually help us demonstrate the issue to the factory and help correct it. Doors always open if you want a return.
@tyler9463 Жыл бұрын
Well I'd definitely be open to that but not sure that my blaster meets the requirements because it's been painted / lightly modded. I've removed the slam fire and the safety and changed 2 small spring on the catch and trigger, if I prime it I can use my wrist to bump where the safety was and it fires most of the time
@blasterface22 Жыл бұрын
@@tyler9463 I can understand not wanting to have to do all the mods again. If you're on discord my username is the same as here. DM me and I'll mail you a replacement sear support you can swap in. I also don't see many comments regarding this issue which leads me to believe they are being deleted. Do not trust this reveiw this blaster is not reliable in the least, get a cheaper blaster that fires when you pull the trigger. At least worker admitted the swift had issues and fixed it but Gameface just cooses to pretend it's user error.

I’ve seen your comments on a couple videos and I always say the same thing. Call customer support. Of the ~1% of returns we’ve had the majority are user error. I should just release a video showing what you’re doing and how to fix it (basically good form). If you can’t bother to engage customer support then it’s not really an issue we can help you with.
@Tacodave1679 Жыл бұрын
@@blasterface22 it seems that all customer service says is that it's just user error. Funny how all other blasters seem to work when you pull the trigger normally but apparently I'm pulling the trigger wrong on this one? There's no point in contacting customer service of everyone else who has gets told that it's user error. The community has already figured out how to fix the issue so I'm just gonna do that. I just wanted to point out that people are purchasing these blasters based off these reviews and not once does anyone mention this massive issue.
@blasterface22 Жыл бұрын
@@Tacodave1679 They should offer you an exchange. Call back and mention that I said that. You might have a particularly marginal unit. That being said, most of our returns are customer error. The company has been in business 100 years and what people are doing is commonly called "meat hooking." It happens with air guns, and even real firearms sometimes. It does not happen when you use the product correctly. Shoot with the pad of your finger, don't hook your whole finger around and pull to the side with your knuckle. That said the long term solution is a little extra lube which we're adding to the assembly process. The community solutions (hey Baygul!) is the same: lube. If you're following some of the people that are cutting plastic away, well you're following sloppy debugging from people who don't understand the mechanism and we would advise against that. I've built and shot over a hundred Trion's and I don't ever get the issue. We found the issue by observing customer behavior then carefully developing a method of reproducing it. That said, you should understand this is a mass produced product made in China with an acceptable return rate of up to 3%. We've had a 0.6% return last I checked, which is exceptional. The easiest and cheapest thing to do is call and get a replacement. I could give a lecture on variation in mass produced products but it would be boring. When you have a sample size of 1 I know the issue seems "massive" but on our end I struggle to get permission to fix some things because the are so small of a failure rate that it does not make economic sense to fix them. One of the reasons you're seeing reviews that are so positive and don't mention this problem is that not many people have it.
