Hi Kyle I been watching your videos for few years now and since then I decided to order a ford 150 pro back on June or July after I saw your review and went to my local dealer and did the build spec and signed some paper work for around 45k after few options now with the slow production and the high demand the dealer has never been able to actually place the order to ford, I been calling the dealer salesman every few months and yesterday I decided to check on the status and asked the big question and the price and they are telling me that I don't have price protection and now I'm at the new pricing or even worse at the price of when they can actually place the order. I don't think that is right, I think people stop following up with Gordon orders and pricing from the original sale price since you guys make rivian honored all prices for the people that placed orders or reservations before the price increase they had to honored the price I was hoping that you look into it and make call out for to do the same. I think this is a lot to ask, but know you speak out about the ugly parts of this company's business that other people don't , even if I don't end up getting it at least let them know that people are disappointing people like me that just can't afford a 20k increase from the original sale price. Thanks again for all the hard work you guys go

I bought my 2017 Twizy 80 here in Korea. It was a Spanish made import that someone bought, put the windows on and probably drove for a couple of days and than sold it to a dealer. 130 K on odometer, no battery lease and street legal. So, like new - $3,300. I have installed. motorcycle LED headlights, an audio system (the factory connector for audio is under left storage box and speaker connectors are in place in roof). Bought the Twizy blanket and an electric seat warmer). Mine is white and black. Put new style “F1” black decals on back and on side doors. I love it. Drive to work on military base daily. No road trips yet. Twizy’s production moved here to Busan. Don’t know if they are still making them now. I saw your Norway video. Take care and have fun with your Twizy.

I drove a Twizy for a week in Madeira some years ago. It was FUN. In an old town situation where streets are not made for cars this thing was a true blessing. Potential parking spots everywhere. Biggest drawback was the lousy charging rate, which I avoided by just switching to another Twizy when one ran out. Upgrade this with Lithium tech and quick charge and it would be the ultimate car, preferably in some warm place.
@jaronjon2985 Жыл бұрын
I have a Twizy since 2015 and use the OBD Tuning Kit on mine. Unfortunally you can't tune the T45 to 100 kmh but it can reach 78. Also the torque is much lower on the T45 model with 36Nm. With battery power adjustment you can bring it up to around 80Nm but you need to dial in slowly. Otherwise you will hit the internal battery protection and it will cut power to brutal low level for the next few seconds. If you have any questions regarding twizy tuning feel free to ask me anything.

@5:59 it's not a 'vignette' (motorway toll sticker, but doing only 45km/h it isn't allowed to go on motorways in the first place), but an inspection plate (cars in Austria have to get an annual inspection for roadworthiness). And yes, that is the Austrian plate (in Germany it would be on the rear license plate). btw. they did limit it to 45km/h because that's what you are allowed to drive 'sans permis' (without a driver's licence) in France and some other countries (in others you only need a moped license, which you can get at a younger age). Same reason why the Citroën Ami is limited to 45km/h.

The NEV route to legalization you suggested is probably the best one to pursue, a close second would be as an ATV. The previous owner should have crushed or exported the car after testing, you got very lucky that the company went bankrupt and can't really be pursued. I have a passing familiarity with Colorado rules, and I believe you have a very good chance. Some people even managed to register Mahindra Roxors as fully road legal cars. Unless the inspector insists on an FMVSS certification sticker from the manufacturer, you should be good. I've also heard of some people having problems if the speedometer is metric only. You will need to research carefully the rules for each vehicle class ahead of the inspection, and determine the best one to apply for. Your suggestion to register it as an M-Plate is probably the most impossible route. You need to be a manufacturer, and every time you drive it, it MUST be for testing. If you have an M-Plate and a cop pulls you over and you say you were doing anything other than testing, you will be in a world of pain. Some sketchy people have used dealer plates, but that's playing with fire, and I highly advise against it.

yeah, Renault Sonnleitner; seems to be from Vienna, my hometown! correction: there is also a Renault Sonnleiter dealer in Salzburg; "Aus dem Ausland" just means "from abroad"; so to call the service number +43 xyz from somewhere else than Austria; And the sticker in the top corner (this ist the MOT Sticker for the yearly TÜV or Pickerl as we say) says license number "SL-xyz", so that means the Twizy was last registered in "Salzburg Land", so on countryside of the city Salzburg; and it was allowed to drive till June/22 and you are allowed to overrun this date by 4 months; so should be in good conditions i would guess ;-) and i would also guess that this is the twizy 80 and not 45 because of the license number and the large license plate itself; the twizy 45 would have a smaller license plate holder; another update (3rd one or so): i just looked into the pricelists (see links below) and there it says "Beheizbare Windschutzscheibe" for Twizy 80, which translates to "heated windscreen"; which is another hint to be a twizy 80 and not a 45; slight correction on this: the "beheizbare Windschutzscheibe" is/was also an option (150 Euro) for the twizy 45; here would be a priceliste with the specs from 2018: media.renault.at/__/24326.5ad5e4a8.dl and here from 2016: www.infohub.at/carmanager/uploads/pdf/PL_Twizy_05_16.pdf there are some twizys online in Austria which have been slaughtered; there could be some parts you may want to have or need: www.willhaben.at/iad/kaufen-und-verkaufen/marktplatz?sfId=c2c60433-856b-4a4f-9fe7-8d42cd4b6be4&isNavigation=true&keyword=renault%20twizy&ATTRIBUTE_TREE=6143 just hit me up if i can help you ;-) all the best from the best city in the world :D Raphael

I think drivers have forgotten the thrill of their first cheap small car.

I think you need an Ami now Kyle. Jim Magill sent one to a museum in USA as it’s not registered to drive there.

Yes that Twizy was originally registered in Austria. That white sticker on the wind screen is put on the car after successfully passing it's annual road safety inspection. It will tell you when the next inspection is due and one of the first things a police officer will look at,at a traffic stop.

I love how your dream car is a Twizy. It gives me Doug Demero vibes on how excited you are! Very happy for you 😊

His information is not always accurate. Beware. He claimed Nimbus One folded and that’s simply not true. I had no reason to doubt his veracity until he made such a false and irresponsible claim. The company unloaded some old engineering stuff like a Twizy. He could have done serious damage to Nimbus One EV. But that would depend upon how many viewers pay any attention to his KZbin videos. His credibility and legitimacy took a hit as he depends on access to vehicles to play with their cars. It will be hard to respect him from this point going forward since he never corrected his disinformation.

As a French, I watch your channel to see Rivian R1T and Lucid Air, that do not exist in this part of the world, but now a Renault Twizzy 😩

I really understand you. I’m a French guy and it’s my second Twizy because I like so much to drive this little electric kart. The first time I saw one on the street I fall in love with the car and I just want to by one. It was in 2012 and the first model I can own was in 2013, because there was so much delay and so little production. I sell it because it was a little tired but I immediately buy a new 2016 model and I keep it and drive it nearly every day. And always with pleasure. So hope you have a real good time with it as I have every single day.

Bet it would be easy to register it as an NEV.

Only last week came across this little beauty in Gorey. It caught my imagination and love straight away. The styling and seating layout , is unique and functional and hell yeah fun too. Seating reminds me of the Mclaren F1. Centre seat , with a seat behind. But the coolest thing for me is the doors. So simple so effective. Imagine yourself in a normal parking lot with a normal car , how hard it can be to get in and out. , this door solves that brilliantly. Such a fun piece of intelligent engineering in the twizy. Would love to have one.

I love this little go-cart. Once a year, when my Espace is in the shop for its yearly checkup my loan car for the day is always the 95kph Twizy. My (grown up) kids and I take turns 'racing' that thing around town all day. Who needs Six Flags when you can drive a Twizy?

We have a similar vehicle, lower power, two seat, no unnecessary doors, regular plug to charge, and we use it around town. Here (Thailand) they are considered bicycles, so do not require a license for driving in bike lanes or on shoulders - most roads have neither, so we drive in the slow lane - BUT - with a full load, it is as speedy as many motorbikes, even with a small trailer behind...LOL
