I hope Hasbro is watching this and maybe they will eventually learn that a new photo real application does NOT make the figure good! We really, really need a full new re sculpt along with ROTS Anakin, come on Hasbro, we need to at least start the ROTS Galaxy packaging! Thank you for sharing Nate, great review.

Termi-Nate-tor!! Great intro bro! Still gutted I didn't buy the blue box for 4 quid as it probably does rate as the worst figure in bs and I'd love it now in the collection for curio purposes. I stand by my presumption this was being readied for release before they decided they would now 'furk' with archive, to somewhat better the figures, which is disappointing, but, they had to start somewhere....

I think this figure is alright, I was expecting it to be a lot worse than it is when I got it. My biggest problem is the blond hair, and he's a bit out of scale, I think he's too small. But... That being said, I do still really like it. I think it looks enough like Ewan, and the Jedi tunic sculpt has always been good, and the articulation is alright. I was able to get him into the classic action pose he does before his duel with Grievous in ROTS. Anyway, thanks for sharing your thoughts, Nate! I enjoy watching these reviews, keep up the great work as always.

Never bought this figure, I wasn't collecting black series when they started the orange or blue line. At first I was just buying the droids and aliens when the Solo figures were around. A friend then bought me Lando figure from Solo and fully emersed since then. Unfortunately Sith Obi Wan is a waste of money. I'm waiting for a new figure sculpt. @@Ryan-rb4xj Yes definitely the case. If I was collecting black series when this figure came out I probably would have bought it. But I came after he was discontinued so I never sought him out. The only figures from the early line I wish they would archive are the Sand Troopers. And just completely redo Leia Jabba's prisoner for Jedi 40th anniversary.

Did you watch the video all the way? Not as easy of a head swap as you might think. The peg is different and would require new tooling. Still, they could've done a better head for sure. -Justin

@@OutOfTheBasement I did. I would lean more in favor of the second option (TPM/AOTC body) as I am pretty sure that neck ball fits the Clone Wars Kenobi head socket. Only reason I suggest the original is for Hasbro to be able to claim a reissue of the original in spirit at least. Gimme a little credit Justin 😉

I guess it’s only appropriate that during the dog days of summer we get to a complete dog of a figure. If I had to rank a bottom 3 of all-time after hundreds of Black Series figures, this original Obi-Wan is easily amongst the worst ever. And this Archive release did absolutely nothing to improve upon it, so for me it’s still a bottom 3 all-time bad figure. It’s never been “shelf worthy”, and it never will be. This Archive figure is officially “archived” in my collection and resides in a box in my closet. They all can’t be winners…🤷🏻‍♂️. Thanks though for trying your hardest to find some redeeming qualities. Appreciate the effort! 👍
