I play Jamie Crocker at Trevose GC, one of Cornwall's best golf courses. We play 18 holes medal on an unbelievable winters day, the course as always was looking top! Check out the ball flights on some of the tee and approach shots.

Enjoy this one guys. The ball flights start midway through and continue for the rest of the round... Side note, if you're 6 foot don't buy chinos from Topman thinking you'll get away with a 30 inch leg

Great watch and what a course for winter. But you should call the vlog_. "how to make golf difficult* by the James gang. You need to simplify things and get shot of the ego if your gonnie do anything James. All good sport is played in a free body in a free mind. Its always on the day and fickleness & fractions tbut you need to be free & focused to achieve your best.

Oh James! "Its a long way to the main tour its a long way to go its a long way to the main tour the best place a man can be" Yes, I think you still have a long way to go realizing your dreams come true. It seems to me that this course is not the longest and diffculiest one and after 9holes you are even par with good saves. But on the european tour the scoring is so much more diffcult, the greens are extreme fast and to hold the ball there you need touch! Former world number one Kaymer told that he made a lot of 4 putts when he was new, and he played before on the challange tour on a difficult course a 59. I know some players from the past, winner of a tour event who holded the tour record for years. They played +4 and better, again and again. You played with andrew marshall - take him as a "Idol"; he makes a controlled easy shot to the green as you saw, not always the best and longest golfshot. Hitting greens, if missing than at the right place, holding the teeshot in the game and bringing them to a place where the next shot is one you can do in the middel of the nicht and at least safe scoring with making good puts - thats the recept for staying on tour. The outstanding shots, a hitted par4 green, a holed long put ore a holed bunkershot for eagle - thats maybe bring you in the next step a victory. But first step is holding the game together. Tom Watson said in the past, there are only made two really good shots on a round of golf. You want to make with every shot the exceptionell one, and this aim you never will reach. Watch a player like langer - he makes not ONE BAD shot on a round and he missis the greens in augusta at the right place. He is still back in the picture with the young long hitting guys and he is over 60..... I hope Harry Konig will get more invitations on tour and become a established player. Maybe he has a chance and if I see the relation to you I see him in verey vlog clear winning against you. And this Konig still has a hard way to go in his career. I wish you all the best! Be concentrated in what you do. I hope you will come on a main tour one day so that your hard work would be payed out! good luck

@michaelscore6763
@michaelscore6763 4 жыл бұрын
@@andyv6299 Hi Andy! Thanks for your comment. Yes, I have expirience with such questions ariund successful golf. I played against golfers who reached the tour, won after years a tournament and lost the card later because they started "fitting clubs" or "changing swing" - all what they lost was the "trust in the own game" and with this the mental strengthness who is the key for successe in golf. I managed player on tour who never won a tournament for 10years, but with a extraordinary good swing - at the end the preasure was to high, the scoring not good enough. Look at dubai this week: Harry Konig played 80/80 and missed the cut. Scoring on this firm and fast greens is so much different to what the golfers learned from the beginning of the career! This is what james has to practice! Not the distance shots win a tournament, the trust in the situation with preasure and the scoring is the important fact. Look at Tigers practice before a round; he searches for rhythm and easyness in his shots, and this he brings on the course. He played for exampel a few months ago a par 3 131 yardsdownhill with a PW not a gap wedge; and he was short with his shot, bt he made the uphill put or played a safe par. Not the spectacular shot is the shot who brings the victory, the mantal strength, the strategy and the short game brings success. Sometimes you need a outstanding shot - and Tiger did such shots many times; because of this he is the best strokeplayer ever in golf, but first you have to come in a position where you need such outstanding shots. And this you arrive with other ones than the spectacular. I think James is a very good golfer, but he needs strategy and a other idea of how to become successful. He should not hit ball after ball on a range, he should hit 100 balls on a green with a iron more than he normal use to learn with making a green shot with control and feel. If I watched Faldo aon a range as a young man I saw him hitting always to the same flag with different clubs and different shots; high, loiw fade draw - al under control and really closed one to the other. When he did his shot to the green on his round he knew what he has to do... I hope James will bget successful in the future! I like him and the way he playes golf. he is a athletic player and this is good as it is. I hope he learns getting more control and a better strategy, and finalliy a better up and down round the greens. I also hope Harry Konig will get more invitations to the tournament so that he can learn how to play ssuch courses as they are prepared in this events. A lot of words again.... sorry. Have a good time!

I know it is just a round, and you are working on things....but, this has nothing to do with your course management. If you are preparing for tournaments, you need to get into game mode now. Work your course strategy out, stick to it. Play to your numbers, take the silly dropped shots out. Can’t afford silly mistakes mate. You will have good shots and bad shots, but don’t unnecessarily put yourself in the wrong place. Early days, but got to think about “ constructing a score”.

Failing to prepare is preparing to fail! Get on Google earth and work out a plan before hand and stick with it. You're good enough to get round the course blind but you're also good enough to warrant the extra effort.
